Classic small town IGA. I remember when these were everywhere.
So what do you get for a few pennies more than a super Walmart that you spend 10.00 in gas to get to and back from here? You get real people that live in the community and are friendly and glad to see you. You get a real butcher that actually knows meat, someone that can get or cut what you need if they don't have it out. You will get a person at the register that will offer to help you out even if you only have a few things. You however won't get to fight crowds, you won't have to park a thousand feet away, you won't have to deal with 50,000 sq.ft. of store with only 4 registers open. You will never ever have to "check yourself" out. You won't be supporting some Virginia community instead of your own. Oh yea....if you decide to swing by a restaurant on the way to or from shopping; you won't have to pay 11% in fast food tax and further support another states community versus your own. So give a local place a chance next time; it may surprise you.
