It reminds me of some of the big food halls in Los Angeles (Grand Central Market, Haven City, etc.) packed with delicious food and beverage options. Just a quick Uber ride from the border and you can be munching on fresh ceviche and savoring an ice cold glass of house-made sangria. That's exactly what we ordered! I appreciated the option for indoor or outdoor seating. Since it was an extremely hot and humid day, we opted to sit inside, where the fans were a lifesaver. We ordered drinks at the bar inside and then picked up food from one of the several vendors outside. The staff was welcoming and checked on us several times, even offering our group a large table upstairs, which was a considerate touch. From coffee to pastries, sweets, snacks, wine, beer, seafood, pizza, and everything in between, Telefónica is a great way to start or end your day in TJ. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in town!

My advice, take a cheap UBER instead of driving as parking is not fast. When you arrive take a walk though quickly to get a lay of the land and see what the options are. Maybe grab a michelada on the way in since the bar is right there. I'd pick one or 2 or 3 places to try as long as what you order fits together. the last thing you'd want to eat would be a taco and a hot dog. BE MINDFUL: Realize you are in Mexico. This place wasn't really made for tourists, it's more of a local spot and it's pretty safe. That being said they don't usually care too much about dealing with complaints. Take breath a little bit Karen and enjoy the experience. I would recommend you eat it at the stand, that way the bread doesn't get all soggy and cold when you get back to your place. It is an outdoor forum, but there is some indoor seating. It just makes for a really lovely experience when the weather is balmy. We sampled a few different tacos: The meat on the Taco de New York from La Taqueseria was just a little tough, but still very good. The Taqueso de Camaron from La Taqueseria might be the absolute best comfort food I have ever had in my life!!! The Pulpo (Octopus) Taco from Walter was surprisingly very good. The Cucumber mint lemonade was surprising. It took me a few sips to realize it wasn't loaded down with sugar, just fresh, natural flavors blending together. And, toward the bottom of the cup, I realized I liked it much better without a ton of sugar.

Would grade these gourmet dogs as the best overall that I've ever had and come at excellent value too! Stopped by most recently this past weekend while on vacation in the San Diego area. Humo is probably the most popular of the food trucks at Telefonica Gastro Park, primarily due to the tasty hot dogs! I almost always get the bacon dog but the pulled pork dog is excellent as well. The bacon hot dog comes loaded with bacon and other tasty seasonings. They also give you a complimentary side of corn flavored with cheese and another seasoning. I'm personally not big on corn but even I would have to admit it was super delicious with the seasoning. The entire plate comes out to only 90 pesos (around $4.50) which is obviously an excellent price for a meal. The dog is fairly filling - I was good after just one but many can probably eat two with no problem. The hot dog comes on what I think is a thicker, ciabatta bread. I think the bread is fine, though wouldn't consider it great... it's the meat and seasoning of the dog that stand out for me. They have a couple other hot dog types as well (besides bacon and pulled pork), but not being a Spanish speaker I couldn't interpret - you'd have to check the menu. They seem to always have at least one staff fluent in English who can help you through the selections. IMO, this spot is a must visit for any foodie/meat lover visiting TJ!

Pork sausage, pickled veggies, cojita cheese, corn, and then pulled pork. All of this heaven inside a pillowy soft bun. Hubba hubba! The food came out fast and it was delish.
