I honestly can't say enough good things about CTDS California Truck School and Billy. After…read morestruggling to pass the practical driving test, training with him completely changed my confidence behind the wheel. Billy doesn't just teach you how to pass the DMV test, he teaches you how to become a truck driver. There's a huge difference. Every correction had a purpose. Instead of simply telling me I was wrong, he explained why I was making mistakes and showed me how to fix them. Things that had never clicked before suddenly made perfect sense. What impressed me most was how much he genuinely cares about his students. He isn't interested in rushing people through or just collecting tuition. He wants you to succeed, and he'll invest the time to make sure you understand what you're doing. He'll encourage you, but he'll also be honest with you when you need correction, and that's exactly the kind of instructor you want when you're preparing for a career where safety matters. The atmosphere at CTDS is professional but welcoming. You're treated like family, not just another student. The instructors create an environment where it's okay to make mistakes because every mistake becomes a lesson. By the end of each session, I walked away feeling more capable than when I arrived. Billy also has years of industry knowledge and connections, so you're learning from someone who's been there, not someone just reading from a manual. His goal isn't simply to help you earn a CDL, it's to prepare you for a successful career after you leave his yard. If you're serious about becoming a professional driver, save yourself the frustration and go to CTDS first. It was one of the best investments I've made in myself, and I recommend Billy and his team without hesitation. They gave me more than training, they gave me confidence.

I had an upcoming ccw renewal class coming up and I messaged 24 hours prior to the class notifying…read morethe instructor/owner that I wasn't going to be able to made it because a death in the family came up so I messaged about a refund because I was unable to attend the class and not a single reply notice nothing I have been totally ghosted by the instructor and owner. It's really sad because I was just trying to get my deposit refunded which I paid in full for and they made notice that they would refund if the financial difficulty became and issue being they had to raise the price as of 2024 rules but because of a death and I wasn't able to attend I've been blacklisted. Totally unprofessional and I don't recommend anyone to this program if this is how they will conduct business. Not even a reply with reasoning or anything completely ghosted me

They help the scouts by bringing together counselors from like 50 merit badges to work with the scouts to learn new skills and topics. They also do Nuclear Science and other stuff. Not only do the scouts learn a lot... they have fun.
