Fonte Romana, at the foot of the Majella in the cool weather of a beech forest.
This modest small family female chef restaurant is hidden in the middle of a beech forest by a mountain stream next to a pond on one of the valleys of the Majella mountains. So magical and peaceful in a fairy tale setting is worth driving up from Pacentro, Italy!
The food is authentic Abruzzo style.
We ordered practically everything on the menu to try. Everything is cooked
from raw ingredients and so flavorful! The lamb chops were grilled on charcoal and so good to eat off bone. The ricotta cheese raviolis were so light and fresh and the sauce was as well. I got to meet the farmer that brings up the cheese.
Service was good and on point.
One of the best meals in Italy!! read more
