Excellent authentic spicy Chinese hot pot perfect for a cold…read morerainy night. We ordered the spicy shrimp hot pot. If you order the all you can eat, then they give you a paper menu where you order the raw items for your hot pot. Make sure to order a bowl of rice. The first thing that came out was a stir fry of shrimp (in shell and head on) in spicy sauce with lotus root, celery and sliced rice cakes. You eat the shrimp or whatever meat you choose. This is where a bowl of rice is perfect. Once you are finished with the meat/seafood, then they stop by with broth to add to your pot and turn on the induction burner. Once the soup is boiling, then start cooking your raw items. Keep in mind that anything floating at the top will catch the chili oil so be prepared for some spicy bites. You can order more ingredients through the paper menu. I found it to be way too much food, but I eat like a bird. It was so good - spicy smokey warm and hearty. They understand Mandarin Chinese and French so I was able to get by with my broken tourist French and 2 year old level Mandarin. Luckily my friend is more fluent in both languages so she did most of the ordering and asking questions. It was a great break from French food during my visit.

In Fondue, they give you veggies and meats and you dip them in hotpots of broth. Tables consist of ceramic tops which keep the broth warm while you do your tabletop "cooking". But we came here for the non-hotpot dishes. We had the lamb cumin dish and the sautéed chicken szechwan. The lamb cumin dish was perfection--perfect cubes of lamb covered in cumin with lots of spicy peppers. The chicken dish was really tiny bits of chicken sautéed in chili peppers--nice and spicy. The downside of this dish was that the morsels of chicken also included bits of bone. So technically they chopped up chicken into tiny pieces, bones and all , and sautéd all of it. So much care has to be taken while you eat this dish so that you don't swallow any bones. I didn't have a problem. We also ordered a side dish of white rice which was a little sticky as most Chinese rice tends to be. At the end of the meal we handed them a credit card which they claimed was declined. We had used it two hours earlier so we knew it was a good card. We gave them cash but our belief was that they wanted cash all along and just accidentally "mishandled" the credit card process so it wouldn't go through. Once we got home, we double checked with the credit card company and they said the card was fine and they did not see that a restaurant had declined the card. So, liar, liar pants on fire, if you want cash from your patrons, then put up a "No credit cards" sign and be done with it. We liked the food and service but don't like the shenanigans with the credit card which cost them one star.

They just turned off the marquis lights and a minute from closing. I went in and asked kindly and begged them to accept 4 for a dine in meal. There was brief controversy amongst them but they kindly agreed if we ordered quickly which we did!! Would have been nice to peruse the menu more but we know the cuisine and got to it! It's in my opinion a AYCE hot pot place with modern glass top tables and burner in the middle that is also sort of the Canto-Viet type that also does a good Thai lemon grass soup bowl, and limited dim sum items. Most of the Asian restaurants in Paris tend to be a bit "pan-Asian" and tend to do very authentic dishes slightly different than what we expect in the US and authentic restaurants. We ordered beef pho, egg noodle soup with pork, egg noodle soup with chicken, shu mai, and har gow. Quick service. Boy they wanted to go home and who could blame them after a long day! They were brief yet kind by American Asian dining standards in my opinion. Like Asian food here, some items were different than what we expect in the Seattle area but not too much in a negative way as we experienced. The shu mai definitely more shrimpy and the har gow with a thicker wrap. The meat fried appetizer was weird but still cooked perfectly in the fryer. The pho was a good developed broth with a "dac biet" inclusive protein including large but good tripe. The egg noodle soups excellent with lots of bok choy and veg. The pork though was breaded spare ribs WITH and without bones so BEWARE. It was still very good and I'm glad I ordered that for my entree!!! We also got a chicken noodle dish (chow mein) for our son back at the apt. I had some leftover later and it was great! Better than many chow meins at my favorite places back home. I'm going to try to talk the family into going back for AYCE hotpot as I love that but it's hard to convince them to let dad go to those since they don't eat as much volume as I can and have long hair that sucks in the odor. They did all notice that effect after leaving there even though it was closing down and no hot pots going. We were the last diners there as they broke down service and they were still very kind and grateful for our service. All of this for about $60 euros out the door. Very affordable!!!! I'd highly recommend this to anyone anytime as it's got something for everyone that is reliably good for the most part!

Great flavors and ample tasty meats on the sides to just scoop up. This was possibly the most memorable meal of Paris partly because of the buildup. Highly recommend!

He was fair in how he handled the orders once we were seated, and asked in order of who entered first. I had their cascade petit for €38 and it came with 4 tiers. We were able to customize each layer and we chose steamed buns for the top layer, pork intestines for the second, grilled meat for the third, and this sour vegetable and fish broth for the last. We grilled our own meat and ordered some additional hot pot items for the last layer. The soup is actually tasty but gets tiring when you have a large amount of it. The waiters are patient although they can't keep track of things and forget you orders (Just remind them, they're nice). It's not a good place for groups since it's really small. Go with ONE other person to better enjoy the dinner!

It's amazing how two different takes on the same dish can change your whole outlook on that dish. Just yesterday I ate and reviewed a Chinese fast food place where I had butterflied shrimp still in their shell. I wasn't a fan. Today, I had the shrimp dish from Quatre Amis and it was night and day. Although they were both butterflied with their shells, this was slightly tempura battered and flash fried, then tossed with garlic and that amazing Sichuan spice. So good! In fact, I ate everything including the tails! I also ordered the cold noodles and cucumbers in the Sichuan spice and oil which was something like a salad but as big as a meal. The meal wouldn't have been complete without a veggie dish so I also had the eggplant dish. Also tempura fried, they were light and very crispy with no heavy oil feel or taste. Of course I couldn't finish everything. Except the shrimp! I don't think the eggplants will be as tasty tomorrow but I think the noodles will be amazing. 40€ with tip after all was said and done.

I have to rate this Chinese restaurant extremely because most of Chinese restaurants thinks their food sells the reputation, so that staff gives ridiculously poor service - this is completely wrong!!! Hospitality makes an unavoidable part of the dinning experience with an impact over customers. I simply cannot go for nice food and to spoil the worst service. DO NOT GO!
