While walking around dix30 I saw that there was a candy spot and my sweet tooth lit up…read more It was a small but spacious store with a variety of hard candies gummies and all sort of other candies. When walking in you wear a mask and get an associate and the fun begins they grab whatever cup size you want and put in the candies for you. Which is great because now you don't have to worry about everyone touching all the scoop handles and candy. We chose quite a few and saw we were close to the top but the employee encouraged us to go all the way to the top. We also found some really unique popcorn flavours and bought a bag as well. The candies tasted great but how can you go wrong with sugar !

Fun and fancy little sweet shop located in the stylish Dix30. It has all your childhood favourites…read moreand more, including a decent selection of Jelly Belly beans. They even have flying saucers (sour sherbet-filled melt-in-your-mouth candies) which I was happy to see after a long time. Some other favourites that I wasn't expecting to see: Popeye sticks, push pop, love hearts, gob stoppers and those large fruit shaped candies! The interior and packaging of the sweets is very classy. Many of the sweets are packed beautifully in more of a gift form rather than grab and go sweeties. Because of this, I feel the selection can appeal to any age as there is something for everyone. They would make lovely party favours! Great treat for the South-Shore but not so much for the parents. Prices are quite steep and some are ridiculous for what they are (a tiny pack of flying saucers at 5$). I guess they can get away with it due to the rarity of the merchandise but still...

I love getting my dessert from this place. I find the line moves pretty quickly. I just wish there…read morewas a little more social distancing because everyone is standing so close. But the chocolate covered ice cream is absolutely delicious! The chocolate is so creamy and thick. Personally I love taking half cotton candy, half oreo in a bowl. The service is very quick and efficient! Absolutely love going here.

Visited this place the day after it opened. We lined up for about half an hour or more but it was…read moredefinitely worth the wait as we were taken well care of by the frequent distribution of chocolate samples! Inside it really is a little chocolate heaven! It smells like chocolate and there are big chocolate machines of so many flavours that you need to take a moment to decide what to have. Despite coming from the home of the famous Cadbury factory, I was very impressed by this mini chocolate factory. There is a lot of choice in the shops and also menu so be prepared to be overwhelmed!! In general, I am not an ice cream fan so I decided to go for the smallest size... To my surprise, it was huge - portions are extremely generous and also price is reasonable for the amount you get! I went for the coffee chocolate coating and took a big bite out of it... The contrast between the hard chocolate and the soft ice cream was heavenly, I was able to bite on something yet enjoy the soft whipped ice cream at the same time... A perfect combination! The terrace seating is nice and spacious but the view of the main road really lets it down unfortunately... Overall, so far this the only ice cream that I have so that says a lot for someone who doesn't like ice cream!!

This new chocolate specialty shop opened on June 2nd, after months of anticipation and wonder from…read moreBrossard residents. (I was hoping this new build would be a Wendys!). Chocolato is located along Tashereau right infront of the Portobello mall, facing the Buffet des Continents. This modern stand alone establishment has lots of interior and exterior seating as well as a drive-thru for your convenience. With high celings and windows all around, it is a beautiful and well lit interior. Similarly to their biggest competitor "Chocolat Favoris" located in Dix30, you will find gourmet chocolates, cakes, sorbet and ice creams that can be dipped in their variety of flavored melted chocolates. Ranging from dark orange to white blueberry or strawberry dips, these coatings transform your cone or sundae experience and are ideal for fondues. We tried 2 of their deluxe sundaes, at $7.99 each, these have deluxe pricing as well. The toppings are generous (you can get bananas, entire oreo cookies or even fruit loops to adorn your cup) however I was expecting a fudgier chocolate sauce and their signature melted chocolate dip that was poured over my ice cream hardened instantly. If you don't mind the crackling shell effect, this will be fun however if you pictured ooey gooey hot fudge, you may be disappointed. The $2 sundaes offered at Costco are far tastier if you are on a budget. Unfortunately, I found the quality of the Chocolato ice cream and dips inferior to Chocolat Favoris, and think it is ridiculous that you need to pay for a loyalty card to rack up free products. Their biggest competitor offers a free points app that allows you to redeem free cones on your birthday and more. For this alone, I will continue purchasing my speciality ice cream at Chocolat Favoris in Dix30. I went around lunch time on their weekend opening, it was a beautiful warm and sunny day yet the store was almost empty and they had no special promotions either. What will happen in the winter months? I am not too sure of the survival of this shop considering they also have a kiosk in the Champlain Mall just a couple street away. Worth a try so you can decide for yourself where to get the best frozen desserts in the area.
