We stopped in yesterday on the way home from lunch and picked up tuna steaks to grill for dinner. They had a nice selection of fresh and frozen seafood. In addition to the fresh tuna, shrimp and other local seafood they display on ice, they had a few freezers full of cod, salmon, lobster and other frozen fish. My guess is that they keep it handy for the snowbirds. They also had frozen crawfish tails, etouffee and other local favorites in the freezer. The prices seemed a bit higher than the grocery store, but the guy said they get their fresh seafood from the boats at Bon Secour (right down the road), and the one grocery store that sells fresh seafood gets theirs from Louisiana, so it's probably frozen at some point. The hubs and I both agreed that the tuna was some of the best tuna we've ever had. Maybe it was my homemade marinade or my grilling technique, however, it's far more likely that it was because the tuna was so fresh.

They have a counter full of ice for fresh items, coolers for premade goods, and freezers for frozen items. There is also a very easy to understand menu. We were feeding 4 teenagers and 2 adults so we decided to go with 3 of the boils. We added in crab legs to two. The crab legs are frozen so you just pick out which pack you want. You have 3 seasons to choose from, mild, medium, or Cajun. We did the medium and Cajun. We also grabbed a container of their lump crab dip and a peanut butter pie. Oh and you can't forget the garlic butter. They even warmed it up for us. I will say with everything we got we probably could have fed at least one more person. We did have one teen that wasn't fond of shrimp but she ate plenty of other things. Our meal cost us just under $200. That's just over $33 per person with dessert for 6 people. The sausage was really good. It was the main thing the kids wished we had more of, that and potatoes. They are big potato fans. I didn't think the potatoes really had a chance to soak up the flavor but if you cut them open and rubbed them around it was good. I thought overall everything was a bit salty and that's a lot coming from me. I'm the girl that salts my chocolate chip cookies. I like my salt y'all! The shrimp was a bit over cooked or something because it was extremely hard to peel but wasn't rubbery. We got the large shrimp and the headless reds. To be honest with you I couldn't really tell a difference. If I did it over again I wouldn't waste the extra money on the reds. The dip was very good. It was loaded with flavor and clumps of crab just like it should be. It did not have any shells that we came across which is a big plus in my book. The peanut butter pie was very tasty. I highly recommend it! We are already planning to stop back in when we head back down for our next wrestling tournament. You really can not beat the price for seafood in the area.

For the last 10 year me and my wife have been coming here. Always welcomed with a smile!…read moreThey take care of you... help with whatever you want to eat. All I can say is this place is the best.... Thank you.
