I've been through 3 dental hygienists in the time i've been there (3 years). The first was wonderful, but was fully booked for when i tried to schedule agin for a routine cleaning. So I got put with another dental hygienist. She was by far the worst hygienist I've dealt with. The entire five-minute cleaning felt rushed and careless, and her attitude made it obvious she didn't want to be there. I wasn't even given a toothbrush or floss because she couldn't be bothered to restock her cabinet. After dealing with this twice, I finally requested someone else. It is also kind of awkward as they schedule their cleanings once youre done not the medical receptionist at the front. I also had a time I arrived at my cleaning and was told that the hygienist went home sick... yet no one from the office called to tell me and I showed up. Now imagine if you had childcare coordinated and that happens? How disorganized and unprofessional. If theyre not scheduling appointments for patients that are there not sure what else they are doing to not have time to call all the patients a dental hygienist had to cancel for. And yes as a nurse whose worked in a clinic I have made sure this was done so its procedure. Jeanine I've had most consistently and shes a peach. Always asking about me and giving convo starters for when either brother (dentists) come to take a quick peek at your teeth. Thats one of the biggest issues. The dentist is already an unpleasant place, but this experience took it to another level. The dentist showed absolutely no enthusiasm, no warmth, and no apparent interest in being there at all. Their flat, indifferent attitude made the entire visit uncomfortable and left a terrible impression. Ive encountered both and its the same experience with both. I would not recommend this place to anyone your teeth they will probably rot out with how uninterested all of them are in their job. The people with good review of them are just being nice because they are a well known family in Westerly. HA

As a patient since 2017, I could not even imagine going anywhere else for my dental care. This staff genuinely cares about each and every patient. They consistently go above and beyond with their dental care. Doctor Brendan Gouin is just over the top amazing!!! He explains your dental plan precisely and provides informative directive on your care. He makes you feel completely comfortable and is truly a personable soul... and let's not forget about his assistant Jillian. She is the one who preps you before seeing the doctor, does the x-rays, and most importantly puts you at ease... which she has amazing powers to do... especially in stressful situations. Now that's a team!!! There have been numerous emergency procedures over the years, and the staff worked incredible magic to make sure I was seen. Brittney, for one, is a lifesaver. She worked extremely hard in finding me an opening and communicated continually with updates. Every office should have a Brittney!!! I also want to mention my regular dental hygienist Kim S. My gums are extremely sensitive and during cleanings if can be a tough job not to send me to the moon with a wrong move or sharp pain. Her personality is second to none and has an amazing sense of humor... which totally relaxes me and makes me feel comfortable. I live in North Carolina for the most part, but there is no doubt I will continue to travel to Arrowhead Dental for ALL of my dental needs. I could go on and on, but believe me... if you are looking for one of the best dental experiences of your life... Arrowhead will not disappoint. I get regular cleanings, which are thorough and I am made as comfortable as I can be. The same is said whenever I have had to have problems addressed by the Dentist (Dr. Brendan in my case). I don't have a fear of the dentist but I do have an aversion to pain. I never have to worry about the team at Arrowhead. They check in and don't rush into the procedure until they are sure you are comfortable. I have had to have a couple of "emergency" appointments, when I lost a filling. They scheduled me quickly (depending on the severity, same/next day) and addressed the issue. Once it was an easy recementing and they didn't even charge me. I am a patient for life!

I have nothing against dr Guilino. He's actually pretty awesome at what he does. I have a lot of…read morework done to fix my teeth. My first experience with him I had 8 teeth extracted all at once. My molars were impacted by my wisdom teeth which came in sideways. I wanted them all extracted at once because I feared that I would be afraid to come back to do the other side. I knew I had to get it done so that's why I did it that way. I had very little pain and discomfort. No bruising. I then had more work done through the years as I had some crowns that had reached the end of their days. I had 3 implants done and 1 more scheduled. Very satisfied with the work done here The 2 star rating is for the office staff. There needs to be a different system. The surgeon should be informed what work needs to be done on THAT appointment day. A $2000+ mistake that I had to swallow. I showed up for an appointment (I see him about 2-3 times a year). He takes a look in my mouth. Takes a look at my chart. "Ok you need this and that done". So I say "ok". I go to the front office to set up my follow up appointment. "Oh your insurance maxed out. You need to pay $2000+". This isn't nickel and dimes. This isn't an extra $40. A month before my appointment, someone in the office should contact my insurance and see if I am covered. If there are any issues they should contact me. We could either reschedule for the next year or set up a payment plan. Then on the day of my appointment it should be written SOMEWHERE what work is supposed to be done. When the surgeon says that I need this and that done , I trust him. I don't need to have a tooth plucked out, blood soaked gauze hanging out of my mouth, heavily drugged arguing my way out of $2000+ dollars. The lady talked to me like I was a moron or something. "Don't you know what work needs to be done?!?" Yea. I have messed up teeth. There's a ton of work that needs to be done!! Don't you tell the surgeon what is scheduled to be done?! Isn't that YOUR job?! Another time my son had wisdom teeth extracted. He was set up to get gassed but then they recommend a cocktail for pain management. When we go to the desk we find out that it's over $300 for the cocktail. We asked for the total bill and paid it in FULL. On the spot. Paid in full. A month later we get a bill for $1200. For guess what?!?! They said we maxed out our insurance. WTF does paying in full mean these days? As of today, 9/25/17 we have paid our debts and will never be returning. It's sickening how the office staff can sleep at night. I feel as though they get a rise out of people shelling out pocket money when they have perfectly good insurance.

I made them appointments and confirmed that they took their new insurance. the receptionist said yes they do. before their arrival to the appointments, I again confirmed that insurance was taken there. all four kids got cleanings and xrays. a month later I received a bill for 1485.00. I called and asked what this bill was for as cleanings and X-rays are covered under insurance. I was told the receptionist made a mistake and I still owed the bill. I refused to pay as this wasn't my fault. this was an office oversight. the doctor would not remove the bill. My credit is now tainted. 1485 dollars could be a tax right off for the doctor, but for a mother of four who trusted the office enough to bring over my whole family, 1485 is a financial hardship. would never recommend this office for even a minute. and also be prepared for 45 min wait times as the doctor is always late.
