At the first visit, he was able to quickly identify and address the root cause of my dad's back pain with some spinal adjustments and massages within the first few minutes. Immediately afterwards my dad felt worlds better than he did a few days prior. Dr. Phan even helped to alleviate some of the symptoms exacerbating my dad's back pain to prevent his back pain from worsening or returning. Throughout this entire process, he provided an in-depth explanation of the cause and effects of the back pain alongside using comparisons to help my dad better understand what was going on. It was especially thoughtful of him to give my dad some stretches and strengthening exercises to do at home between visits to hasten his recovery. He even suggested a dietary change that did have a noticeable effect on his recovery period and level of activity. Surprisingly, on the second visit, an off-hand comment about my dad's leg length discrepancy of 1/2 cm that he's apparently had for half his life put Dr. Phan into gear. With another lightning fast diagnose and a few adjustments, he brought my dad's hip bones back into neutral alignment with his spine which also fixed his leg length discrepancy! And I need herb medication (it says one month herb supplement but they are usually good for 6-7 weeks) and acupuncture treatment. Her bro, Dr. Lu does acupuncture treatment. He is awesome! He can read my husband and my health condition by poking and looking our back of our body. He is also good at reading health condition by tapping our pulse. He is experienced and very skilled too. My husband and I started to go there once a week to get the treatment. ( We drive to there from Irvine every week) They are born and raised in the several generations Chinese doctor family and they also have western medical study and practice background before they move to US. Really horrible experience here…read more Saw the doctor who told me to close my eyes so she could look at my face and then checked my Pulse on both hands while occasionally writing something down on a notepad. She then went on to say that I only have minor issues including infrequent headaches/dizziness (I rarely/never get dizzy and don't get any more headaches than an average person, maybe just if I'm dehydrated), stomach discomfort when I'm on my period (who doesn't get this? I consider my period symptoms very mild), cold sores (completely untrue), both irregular and low quality sleep (I would consider my sleep very regular and have used apps that show consistent high quality sleep), and that my hair falls out a lot in the shower (again maybe a few strands but definitely not an abnormal amount). Much of what she said seemed to be very broad generalizations, some of which were completely untrue for me. She was unable to identify my chronic condition that I had actually come in for and then asked if I wanted to take medication without any information on cost or what kind of medication. When I found out the medication was an extra $260, I decided I didn't want it and told the woman at the front desk that I did not want it. To that she said well it's already been prescribed so if you dont take it I will have to throw it away. At that point my friend just offered to pay for it for me. I found this to be very manipulative and coercive. I had clearly stated that I did not want the medication and there was no prior transparency about cost, yet she still tried to guilt trip me into buying it anyway. Overall I feel like this place is run very much like a scam. Everything is cash only I spent $340 in less than 15 mins for what felt like a lot of wrong guesses and some expensive jars of powder that could be anything or nothing. Very disappointing experience that left me feeling way worse than when I went in.
