Incompetent fools!! Used this guy for a couple of years (ya, im pretty slow on the "uptake"). But,…read morethis last episode was the last straw! AC was not cooling. Called Gibsons. "Bill" made the trip out. His "solution" was the refill with refrigerant in "hope" of finding the leak. $867 charge for refrigerant. 2 days later, no cooling. Called Hart's. Josh came same day. Diagnosed the problem (coil was where leak was & the filter at compressor was clogged). Next day, 8:00 AM, crew (including the OWNER) showed up. 3 hours later...perfect cooling! I've found my guy for the future! You other poor suckers just keep calling Gibson's!!

The staff is great at doing HVAC replacement, plumbing and gas-related work. Let me be clear about…read morethis. I would hire *the crew* no matter where they worked anytime. They work hard and get the job done right. I love my system and their work has been pristine. If it were just the crew I was rating here, it would be a 5-star rating. What I didn't like was: * the incompetency shown by the Owner when originally giving me a quote for the job, which ultimately led to it being a 3-day job and requiring completely different work than originally agreed in terms of duct work * the fact that the Owner did not want to pay his crew overtime and told them to stop working at my house, leaving me without air during peak summer heat during the hottest summer on record, because of his incompetence and the secondary and tertiary issues they encountered once the duct work portion of the job began. (The crew refused to obey orders and stayed until they got my air working at least in the areas where I would be sleeping that night. They returned for day 3 to complete the job on the rest of the house. At least they had integrity and a sense of humanity.) * the deceit and subsequent gaslighting by the Owner when I called him out for telling me (and writing it on the order/quote) that something I already owned and invested in would not need to be changed for the job to be completed. As well as the outright lie he told when he said "all [his] employees" are trained to install the product I purchased. The crew had never seen the product before and had no idea how to install it. It turned out, only the Owner's son went through the training. The backpedaling the Owner did when I caught him in this lie was ridiculous and utterly transparent. A judge would have laughed him right out of court, had it gotten to that point. * the runaround he gave me (typical DARVO garbage) when I knew what I was talking about regarding the equipment already installed in my home and the incompatibility issues his recently installed equipment was causing. It took me going to the manufacturer and creating a case where everything was documented by someone else for him to agree to new terms for the quote. It's a shame because, while I will remain a customer due to the product I have and the warranty this company provides for the product, I have lost all faith in the company due to the Owner alone. Apparently, according to all the employees I've talked to in this company, this is typical behavior of his. Maybe it's time for this narcissist to retire and let someone who cares about customers first handle customer-related issues like sales and service. In short, this Owner got off easy with the terms I set for the adjusted quote, and he knows it. I know it. I am hoping he learned his lesson and treats customers better going forward, but from what his employees shared, I doubt he will. You've been warned. Do your due diligence and do not trust anything he says. Make sure you know what competency to expect from a professional in this field before you buy into his song and dance about "his father's business" and "how long they've been around." Riding on his father's coattails will not save him at the end of the day when he can't be honest with and do right by his customers without a fight. If I were rating my dealings with the Owner post-sales call, it would be a 1-star rating at best. His crew and office staff earned him the extra two stars. That should tell you more than enough.
