I spur of the moment bought my kids a new Playset for the backyard, as they had outgrown the…read moretoddler playground we had before. Cue the day of delivery, and while I understood it was coming disassembled in 5 boxes I did not fully appreciate what 500lbs of disassembled playground means until it was sitting in my driveway. Now, my husband and I have been happily married for more than a decade. We've had our rough patches, sure, but we always get through it. Reading the 3 pages of 8x10 contents sheets.... And then the 50+ steps after that to build the set... I wasn't so sure he and I could get through assembling this Playset with our marriage intact. Thankfully I was recommended New Choice Handy Service as someone who could save me, personally, hours and days (if not weeks) of stress, strife, and marital struggle by doing the assembly for us. I liked that they are bonded and insured, so if something goes wrong there's recourse to fix it. I also liked their fast response- I reached out that evening via Facebook requesting a quote. Less than 10 minutes later they responded, asking for the Playset details which I sent. About 5 minutes later they said they absolutely could help and it's a fixed rate for this type of playground, and they could arrive as soon as 8am the next morning! Fast forward to today, it's 3:30pm and I now have a Playset built and anchored before my kids are even home from school. New Choice Handy Services are the equivalent to magic fairies that get your chores done while you're not home- at least that's how my kids will perceive the magically-erected playground in the backyard! I appreciated the consistent communication with New Choice- They did have to push our start day back a single day due to their previous job taking longer than expected, and they let me know the afternoon before they were expected to come the next morning. I've dealt with contractors who won't call and give you an update even when they're hours past the expected start time, so I was blown away with their courtesy and professionalism. Highly recommend this company for all your assembly needs!

I made the mistake of using this company for a raccoon removal. The tech was friendly enough, but…read moreon one visit he decided in order to fix the problem that he would put a ridiculous amount of screws and a hideous silver screen onto the front of a historic home in order to fix the problem while I was not there, rather than sealing on the inside because it was harder to get to. Had I not driven up when he was about halfway through, he would have finished and left. He told me that many houses do that to keep animals out. After looking up and down the street and not seeing any homes that did that, he backed down. I did require him to seal and repaint, which he did. We wanted the raccoon gone before it paid us a visit inside the house from the attic, so we decided to pay more for a national company. That was a mistake. Knowing what we know now, we paid twice the going rate for this service. And as is usual when dealing with a large company, we should have gone local. Lesson learned. And now, 6 months after the service, which was paid IN FULL at the time of service, they are threatening to send me to collections for not paying the bill that we paid at the time of service. I have provided the canceled checks, which show their bank and account number on the back, and show the funds as removed from my account, not one, not two, but THREE times and I am still being harassed. In addition to this, our tech told us that unless we paid in full at the time of service he would not perform the service because insurance would not cover him for any incidents that may happen, which is total and complete bologna, but I paid anyway so he would work. Most recently we received a call from the manager who assured us it was taken care of and we would never hear from them again. That was a month ago. We've had 4 more notices since then, including two in one day. They say that in business there are three things - good, fast and cheap - and if you just expect two of those, everyone will be happy on both sides of a deal. I got none of the three with this situation. It was and continues to be not good, not fast, not cheap, and very frustrating. Trutech, if you're reading this, feel free to talk to your tech, your regional, and your accounts receivable department and you'll find copies of the canceled checks. I highly do not recommend this company. It has been nothing but frustrating to deal with them since the beginning. And we have been hearing an animal upstairs again...which they were supposed to have sealed. Don't just walk, run to a different business for your wildlife removal needs.
