The set up here is exactly how one finds karaoke bars in cities like Shanghai. It's a large venue full of private karaoke rooms that are fully equipped with a large screen, the karaoke machine, two microphones, a large coffee table (very important) and cheap vinyl sofas around the periphery of the room. They have songs in English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean and the video clips that accompany each song can be completely hilarious. Prices are comparatively cheap and you often get two free drinks as part of your room reservation. To order more drinks, simply pick up the in-room phone and make your demands (politely). Ask nicely at the bar and you might be given a couple of tambourines and other small percussive instruments to take back to your room to add to the excellent noise your group is making.

Almost every square inch covered by kitschy items from the 70's and 80's, almost as if a hoarder had an estate sale and someone bought everything and decorated the bar with it. It certainly has a fringe, artsy feel too it, and the shows that take place here reflect that. The smaller theatre space was fun to bring an intimate feel for the improv show.
