I called the office to make an…read moreappointment. the receptionist was very friendly with a caring attitude. she made sure that my needs were met regarding the time and the date of my appointment. She sent me all paper work that I needed to review and fill by text and gave me very clear instruction so that when I arrived for my appointment there was no confusion or rush to complete forms. When I arrived in the office, I was acknowledged by Ms. Marry Farmer in a professional and caring attitude. Within a reasonable waiting time, I was called in by Ms. Ashley Shealy who turned to be the best oral hygienist I have had in past 50 years. She is skilled, knowledgeable, and professionally compassionate and dedicated to patient care. In short, she is an epitome of excellent oral hygienist. After her excellent job, Dr. Banic arrived to examine my over all dental health. He himself demonstrated one of the most sincere , compassionate, and caring attitude. At this point it became obvious that it was due to his professional leadership that the entire staff in the clinic has turned out to be all professional and caring. I went to Northside Family Dentistry after too many years of no dental insurance. Yesterday I was…read moreto get a root canal and a crown on a tooth I had broken several days before. Katelynn has set up a payment plan with three payments including the insurance coverage. Dr.Newsome and Jen were awesome as I sat for over three hours while they did all the work. You may ask why the one star review if everything went so well. Here is the issue I have; after my crown was installed Katelynn came in to tell me that this type of extensive dental work i was not covered at all by my insurance and she had a new payment plan that now covered six months of payments. I was livid. I would never have done all that work especially the crown if I had known ahead of time. I understand mistakes are made but this one was going to cost me almost $800. I told Katelynn I would not sign the plan until I had a chance to think about it. She tried to push me into it, minimizing the huge problem of the extra cost. She said "a pop up must have came up that was not noticed ". Regardless of why it was missed I signed two contracts for the three month plan. I signed one at my initial appointment on Monday and another yesterday before the work because the plan with the crown had not been saved for some reason. Now I was supposed to get a cleaning by the hygienist named John. I was just about to leave without having it done because I was so upset but John spent time calming me down which meant he would have to stay late for my cleaning. These people were all great and even this morning one Advil was enough to help the pain. The other root canal I had many years ago even the hydrocodone they gave me did not help. If it weren't for the huge mistake made with my bill this would have been a five star review. I would have written it yesterday as soon as I returned but I wanted time to think about what to say. I rarely write reviews but I felt this "mistake " deserved I just got a call from Katelynn. Dr. Vincent's was spoken to today and the decision was made to keep the original payment schedule. That is awesome and the right thing to do. I have changed my review to five stars because mistakes are made every day and I certainly am not above them. It is how those mistakes are dealt with that tells the tale and Northside Family Dentistry did the right thing. Thank you all for your help and the start of a long relationship with my family's teeth. I now only have to wait six months for my insurance to work on some of my other dental issues. I especially want to thank Katelynn for taking the time to explain my coverage to me more in depth today so now I know what I can and cannot have done and when for it to be covered.

I get them the third day and did not even six months later I go to bite into a egg roll and my denture snapped in half from the middle and it was the weekend so I had to go all weekend without so I went to the store and I got this fixed it repair kit and I repaired it and it just was not good enough so I paid $200 on Monday to get them to repair it and when they finally repair it they tell me that they weren't able to fully repair it and not only that they charged me the whole amount plus my dentures did not look the same They came back with a huge gap in the bottom of the two front teeth and they made them crooked as if they had broken it even more trying to fix it and just tried to cover it up so I get home and my dad asked me how it went and I told him what the hell happened and he calls this store asking about what happened and why did they do that to me maybe a discount since you guys broke it and made it look worse and didn't even fully fix it? Dr. Brad Williams & his staff are PHENOMENAL…read more I originially chose this dentist because it was a preferred provider under my dental insurance First great thing about this practice is the "down home" feeling you get as soon as you walk in the office. They have televisions and coffee in the waiting room and I almost forgot I was at the dentist! The receptionist was so polite and attentive. I didn't have time to brush my teeth before leaving work so she directed to the rest room where they have disposable tooth brushes, tooth paste, floss, and mouthwash all for your use. The dental hygenist who performed my first cleaning was hilarious and very thorough and gave me some pointers on flossing, choosing a good tooth brush and what not. She constantly asked me if I was ok and made sure I felt no discomfort. After the cleaning I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Williams and he was funny and nice also. The office staff are like a big family and while you are there you almost feel like an extended family member. Anyways...he told me of the multiple cavities I had lol and they came up with a treatment plan. The treatment plan was soooo organized and....great lol. It tells you how much you expect to pay out of pocket and what will be performed and it was just...great (once again) I mad appointment for the end of the month to start on my treatment plan, however about two weeks before my appointment I had some pain and called and requested a sooner appointment, they made me an appointment for the next day! Now to the great part, my root canal During my root canal they gave me a warm blanket and I was able to watch television and I felt NO PAIN. Even the injection part, the part I hate the most was nearly painless! I was so comfortable I almost fell asleep. Dr. Williams and his staff were great and he even gave me a prescription just in case I had some pain afterwards. And to top it off Dr. Williams personally called me to make sure I was ok a couple hours after my appointment. I have been to at least a 6 different dentists, and not one has ever called me afterwards to see how I was doing. Dr. Williams and his staff are amazing and I HIGHLY recommend them!

It feels like family, and I mean that in the sense of the "traditional families" God gave each of us and the "non-traditional families" we tend to build around us. In particular, I need to praise Tasha, who has cleaned my teeth for years. Here are a few words to describe Tasha: competent, proactive, kind, and warm...bottom line is she cares about her clients. Next, I need to praise Teena, the office manager. She is the last person you see on your way out the door. Teena promotes goodwill in everything she does, advocating for each client. Teena & Tasha are two of the threads woven into the cloth that is Modern Family Dentistry. There seem to be many other good people here; I just talked about the two I interact with regularly. My mouth is so sensitive that I have had horrible experiences with ever dentist I have been to. I don't get numb enough so when they start drilling it is very painful. Also, I will feel pain for a week just from the numbing shots. It scares me so much that I put off going despite the severe tooth pain i was experiencing. One day it got so bad I could not stand it any longer. I called into this office because it was the closest to my house and luckily I was able to get a same day apt. I was so scared I brought my husband with me for support. The lady at the front desk greeted me by name and I was brought right back to a chair. Grace talked me through everything and made me very comfortable. I explained to her my bad experiences in the past and how scared I was. She went above and beyond to make me comfortable and offered me nitrous, which I gladly accepted after finding out I would need a root canal. The lady who had to give me multiple numbing shots had a special trick that made them completely painless, even one on the roof of my mouth. The dentist was the nicest one I have ever met. He walked me through the entire thing. I was completely at ease. It went by so quick and painlessly. I have hear horrible stories about root canals and how painful they are but this one was easier than any cavity filling I have had. I cannot even explain how relieved I am to have found Modern Family Dentistry and how comfortable I am to go back for future dental work.
