I travel from Georgia to South Carolina regularly. This Flying J location is what my family considers the "halfway there" point. It's a very large truck stop with everything you need. If you can think of it, they probably have it. Cold drinks, hot drinks, sweet drinks, sour drinks, candy, snacks, full meals from a hot bar, full meals from the refrigerated section, beef jerky, medicine, first aid kits, magnets, collectables, toys, clothes, auto parts, headphones, phones, showers, clean bathrooms, lottery tickets, and on and on. The employees are friendly. The self checkout machines are much easier to use than other places. The recently added an electric charging station for cars. There is a large grassy area if you have pets that need to be walked. Don't forget to gas up while you're there! read more

Everything is great, except associate They have really not friendly associate who just know how to yell they don't know how to talk with people. I don't know how they work in gas station with people. They are so rude. They have to be friendly, but they are really rude. Also, when you fill up, look at the amount because they often cheat there; when you pull out the hose, the amount still counts as poison, they will take you more money, this gas station often cheats that's happened with me and associate said I can't not help you with this and just yell to me she's acting like she don't know anything. I'm sorry that I did not get her name but the girl with the blue hair is awesome. I suspect it may be a different color tomorrow or next week but today it was blue, and she was pretty phenomenal. My Wife and I are in our 60s and routinely stop at this location on our way between Washington County and Gwinnett County Georgia. After loading our trailer into the late hours of the night and getting in a few hours of sleep we headed out for Metro Atlanta. I was ecstatic when we got to the Flying J so we could stop, grab something to eat, drink and stretch our legs. Going inside some guy was posted at the front door. For some reason he chose to engage me and my wife. We just ignored him and kept walking. Feeling slighted, he walked over to the store clerk and said, "You see them sophisticated people come in here?" with negative overtones. Having picked up our purchases we went to the counter ordered food and proceeded to check out. Unfortunately getting the same clerk he made the comments to. She then attempted to continue his negativity by trying to inject herself into my wife and my conversation by saying, "You talking about me?" There was a familiarity about the male standing at the door and the clerk that was apparent. I surmise that there will be an "incident between the man hanging around this location and one of your customers" in the future. Please have the manager at this location ask friends, acquaintances and Family who are just hanging around to move on so that your elderly customers can shop without feeling threatened in the future? Great showers. Water had great pressure like standing under a waterfall. I say this because other flying j don't have this going on like this location. Maybe i was just in dire need of a shower. Either way, plenty of truck parking, clean showers and a weight scale. read more

No idea what these Sally's are complaining about with their 1 star. Its a truck stop not a beauty parlor, get over it. Plenty of well lit parking and always lots of people around. A perfectly clean safe stop. The fuel/gas are cheap and the foods edible. My dog likes the hot dogs:-) I'm in for the cheap gas. read more

should be three and a half Stars what there's no half points..just the average Flying J anymore lot of times employee attitudes can be a little better to happen more than once to coffee's getting better getting fresh made more often last year they had a problem not getting it done and it was old and nasty..better maintenance are keeping the bathrooms a lot cleaner doing a whole lot better than what they were also so it's showing vast improvement.. just like the Denny's just gotten a better manager and a lot better than what it used to be it's actually sometimes above-average not just average very seldom poor anymore read more

This could be the best place to stop off of the interstate, im fact it used to be my favorite. If it weren't for lazy staff, and bad attitudes it would still be a favorite. I went to the Denny's in there (while it was still a denny's) and waited 45 minutes for NO ONE to come to the front counter, we had been on the road all day and were starving and finally had to leave because no one would come serve us. Well I went up there the other night and saw they changed it into an ihop. I LOVE IHOP so me and my partner stopped in there to get some food, (it was about 9:30 and they closed at 10 so we knew our order might take a minute to come out or they might not serve us) the lady who took our order took the whole encounter as a joke for starters. We had to repeat our order to her about 10 times and I used to work in fast food so I know how it is I was very patient and nice about it especially since it was almost time for them to close. She finally took our order and we got fresh blueberry french toast, a hot chocolate, new york cheesecake pancakes, and an apple juice, she told us it would be out in about 15 minutes and we said okay we're gonna wait in the car and come back in. I come back in about 15-20 minutes later and she said my food will be out soon, no problem at all. I wait there for about 5 minutes and she brings me my french toast and says the rest of my food will be out soon, so I continue to wait for 40 MINUTES finally she brings out a hot chocolate and an orange juice. Then when we asked her where the pancakes were she acted like she had no clue what we were talking about, she apologized and said she forgot about them and said they would be out in 3 minutes. they finally bring out PLAIN pancakes. Absolutely terrible service and EXTREMELY unprofessional employees, and managers. would NOT recommend!!!!!! read more

I spent 9 hours at this Flying J after I hit a deer on I-20 at 1:30 a.m and waited that long for a tow truck to rescue me m. I never thought I'd say this but I've never been so happy to be at a Flying J. I don't know what I would have done if I hit that deer in a place that wasn't near a truck stop. For 9 hours this place became my home, and it was strangely enjoyable. I played the scratch offs, visited the soda fountain, used the wifi, watched the news in the lounge, and I even had breakfast at the attached Denny's. They had a C health rating, but ya know what? For those 9 hours that Flying J was my home. And I wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks to all the employees. read more

Don't waist your time here! This place could be awesome but they hire lazy, incompetent and unprofessional employees! We stopped here to exchange our propane tank and after standing in a long line to pay for it and waiting forever for a "manager"to come out side to unlock the case, we were told that he couldn't find the key! Then we had to return inside and wait for another manager to come out to give us a refund. When my husband complained about the inconvenience, she said "Sorry, I was on my break"! She was on a break while they had lines to the back of the store! Also, the Denny's that is attached is no better! Exit 130 has everything you need, just go there instead! read more
