I think this is the first truck stop review I've ever done, and it's because we had a fantastic experience. We're on our second cross-country road trip in three months, so we've stopped at a lot of truck stops. This one stands out for its over-the-top friendliness. We walked in, and four employees greeted us within 30 seconds. We had a small problem with one of the gas pumps, and another employee came right over to check on us. Bathrooms were spotless, which is my primary concern. Glad we ignored the bad reviews and stopped here. read more

Ok quick review. I stopped at this location on a road trip and I will say the folks here are pretty friendly and hard working. When I stopped at 0200 local time, the mens restrooms weren't horrible, but they could stand to have a little attention. My guess is the overnight staff runs a little short handed and they were tending to a deep clean of the showers(which had signs displayed as being down until 0600). There is a Dennys on site, but they are closed during the overnight so plan accordingly. In the morning, the Flying J does have a selection of warm foods to grab in case the Dennys is closed. read more

Easy enough to fuel up the motorhome, but finding a place to park to stretch our legs and walk the labs is a different matter. crazy uneven dirt parking area with huge potholes. I'm on a many week trip by car and can say this was easily the worst gas station I've experienced. Pumps don't work. Credit card readers on the pumps don't work, either. And the check out is blocked by a line of junk parallel with the counter that means customers can't line up to pay. I felt bad for the employees, figuring out where customers behind the line of junk wanted to check outage getting dragged outside to pretend to limp the few working pumps along. read more

Flying J/Pilot racist employee: The Dennys employees whose store is connected to this convenience store were extremely nice and polite, HOWEVER, this is a review about Pilot/Flying J. There was a black family in the store minding their own business as we were getting ready to exit the convenience store, but before we did, we overheard one of the Flying J employees (a lady) start being rude to the black family. One of the people who I assume was the father called her out on her rudeness and apparent racist remarks, and the employee started screaming for everyone in the convenience store (and Denny's) to hear, saying "I'm not racist! I have a niece who is half black! Stop lying! I didn't call you a n****r!" The man responded saying he was simply trying to purchase a few things and be on his way and that there was no reason for her to be rude and make racist remarks. The lady employee screamed at him to "get out of my store!" The black family left afterwards and they seemed upset when we walked out of the store. This store was really busy. I don't think it was because the store was great, but because you could see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and there was nothing else. Lots of diesel pumps for the truckers and a separate register to process their sales. The store is full of everything you need to keep your kids (and you) busy on the trip. We just stopped to buy diesel fuel RV and gas for the car - what a tortuous process! I should have known better and continued on down the road as the following (or similar) has happened to me several times before at Flying J Travel Centers. The diesel and gas pumps (gas extremely slow) stopped at $75 and would not let us get any more because the our cards had already been used at that pump that day. The pumps were also out of receipt paper. I had to see the cashier to get more gas & diesel fuel. The wait was extremely long time due to many people in line to see the cashier as there was just one cashier handling ALL the registers for gas, diesel fuel, food, store items, carry-out, etc. etc. She was being run ragged. Everybody was PO'd. This is totally unacceptable. read more

they don't clean their showers at all. people took the showers they just not cleaned and there's a whole line of waiting people there. when i went to ask why aren't noone cleajing the lady said there a line but there like 10 empty ones with open doors and noone is there to clean them. and when the person showed up he started cleaning after everyone started complaining because it was over an hour of wait and noone got to shower yet. he started cleaning with the towls they give u to use they put them on the floor and mop with their feet towards the floor. what is that read more

Do not eat anything from the deli or self packaged food. Got food poisoning after eating their cheese/meat cups. Literally the sickest I have been in years!!! Being that sick while traveling is the worst experience anyone could experience!! Stay away from all food here to stay safe!! read more

Decent place to stop on a road trip, not awesome. Restrooms were clean overall. Parking lot was a crazy mess - speeding cars thru tight spots and loose toddlers racing between the store and the gas pumps. Drive careful here, folks! Prices are higher for some typical drinks & snacks (as compared to what we normally find in our hometown & on other road trips). read more

The showers are putting out scalding hot water with no way to adjust the temperature. I talked to an employee who has repeatedly pointed out the problem to management, yet it never gets fixed. The showers are unsafe. The showers need to be shut down immediately and the problem resolved. read more

This is one of my 24x7 fuel stops along I-80. It's always busy so that means the fuel is fresh. It's about as ho-hum, middle of the road as it gets. They've got a C-Store, clean restrooms, and they keep it well plowed when the snow flies. If you want to top off before getting back on I-80 this is a good place to do so. In fact I recommend if it's snowing on Elk Mountain as WYDOT likes to close those pesky gates leaving you stuck for awhile. Low gas in a snowstorm is no fun. Been there, won't do it again, and hopefully nobody else reading these reviews will either. read more

I pulled into this flying j like I have many times before to get fuel. I was hungry and made the decision to get food to go at the attached Denny's. The fueling process was simple enough. No problems at all. However when it came to the whole food aspect it couldn't have been worse. I get to the counter and grab a menu so I can see what I want to order and about 5 min later someone comes up and asks how they can help me. So I gave my order. After messing around on the computer trying to get the receipt to print I went ahead and paid. About 15 min had gone by at this point. I watched as people came in and were seated and then received their food. At this point I had been standing here waiting for my to go order for around 30 min. There was a line of roughly 20 people waiting to pay so they could leave. Once that line was taken care of another driver came in looking to order Togo as well. He placed his order and was then standing beside me. This was about 45 min in at this point. I was irritated and very obviously frustrated at this point. The guy behind the counter looked at me and said what did you order? So I told him and he said he would go and see what was taking so long. I simply replied ok. He came back about 15 min later with my food except the side of gravy I had ordered was missing so another 5 min and he was back with the gravy. By the time I walked out of the establishment with food in my hands I had been waiting for 1hour and about 15 min. This alone is absolutely outrageous. However my story is not complete yet. When I get back to my truck to enjoy this meal that seemed ever so appetizing when I read it, was absolutely not. The fries were burnt to a crisp and the chicken was over cooked. The lettuce seemed like it had been sitting at room temp for quite some time otherwise it was on top of my Nashville hot chicken sandwich long before the chicken was ever placed. The cheese was already resolidified on the sandwich. Over all this was an absolutely terrible experience and I would highly urge anyone planning to eat here to do yourself a favor and don't. read more

As truck drivers my boyfriend and I drive all over this great nation and find ourselves at truck stops daily to shower, use the restroom, fuel, eat, etc. So far on two separate occasions we have had to sit at this Flying J due to weather issues. Both times we were greeted with friendly faces. A big thing we noticed is that while most truck stops have that dried urine smell in the bathrooms... this one does not. Which is surprising considering the constant flow of patrons at all times of the day/night. Specifically the manager Tom was very attentive and courteous, making our stop here a pleasant one. Also, even though the Denny's isn't run by Flying J they were also very clean and prompt with the fresh yummy food we all know and love. Overall...we definitely don't mind getting stuck in the snow here :) read more

The food is good but the service sucks,the girls here have really bad additives super snooty. we had to ask for ranch three time and got our soup before our water. the proportions were smaller then a normal denny's, we got Frye and it was more like the 32nd of what someone already had started eating. otherwise the shotty service the food is ok if you're hungry.q read more
