Yes, it's bad design to have a window above the stove but I didn't design it and I do the best I can with it. One time I had another window washer tell me he could clean it. If they couldn't do it, they should have told me up front. Instead of simply doing what I wanted, they insisted on cleaning ALL of the windows in the house to "maintain their reputation." I agreed to it but that had them going into some private areas of the house when I had only been expecting workers in public areas. Don't get me wrong, they worked really hard all day long. They cleaned the screens and they sprayed down the garage door. They were here from 7am to 4pm. That was its own nightmare, of course, for my other family members were stressed out about having strangers in the house for so long. When I pointed out that I was disappointed that the window still looked bad, they tried to tell me how I could clean it myself. Ummm, that's why I hired supposed "professionals." He said, "Well I don't have a degreaser!" He couldn't ask me if I had one or pop over to Home Depot? They shouldn't have taken the job if it was beyond their abilities. They did a bunch of stuff I didn't want and weren't able to take care of the main reason I brought them out there in the first place.

Yelp had some good reviews, but we turned for advice to a friend we trust. she suggested All Valley Solar and Window Cleaning. We spoke with Jesse, the owner, who visited and gave us an estimate of $200 for the exterior windows/screens and $180 for the solar panels. Five days later, Jesse and an assistant arrived for the job. The assistant...a guy in his 20s...started on the windows and screens while Jesse handled panels on the roof. After finishing the panels, Jesse helped with the other guy...then carefully wiped the trim around the windows and doors. They moved all the outdoor furniture before starting and returned it to the proper place when done. Everything took about 3 hours which was probably a bit longer than usual since I'm sure they wanted to impress a first time customer. We're now on a schedule for Jesse and a helper to come every 4 months...with work on the exterior windows once or twice a year.
