I had to scramble at the last minute to get an arrangement for my GF but after considering Proflowers dot com & 1-800-Flowers dot com I decided on just doing it the old fashioned way and going through a lovely independent flower shop in town. Even my male friends at work were all like "just get them through the flower shop - there's too much at stake going through online especially if they can's source the flowers from a local grower." I'm glad I listened to them, because Flowers By LD ultimately came through with a few days to spare. My GF had already dropped hints about her likes and dislikes when it came to flower arrangements and what not. I called them up and the lady on the other end of the phone guided me along with my selection. I only had scarce details about what my girl wanted and that was limited to a small bouquet of daises (no purple or yellow ones). I ordered flowers for my Sister on Wednesday and they were beautiful then on Thursday I ordered flowers for my daughter paid more money for them and they were not near as nice as my Sister there was no ribbon around they vase and the Flowers were not near as nice as the smaller one that I ordered the day before I am disappointed, I thought the second ordered would be nicer or at least as nice as the first one . I recently had the pleasure of working with LD on an event I was planning at the Stephens Performing Arts Center. The challenging part of planning this event, is that I live in Boise and it wasn't possible for me to make a trip to Pocatello before the event. I was in need of flowers, and found LD online and took a chance. I explained my needs, sent a few pictures for inspiration, gave him a budget and crossed my fingers that it would all work out! I will admit I was nervous at first, as he seemed so casual like: "ok no big deal, I've got this". And I wondered, does he? Sure enough, come event day, he arrived on time with fresh, seasonal cut flowers. He was thoughtful and made sure the bouquets were able to be taken out of the vases and sent home with guests and offered to come back the next day to pick up the vases. (I declined and took them back myself, so that I could see his flower shop. Which was filled with all kinds of fun decor selections.) I was also amazed at how many people during the event asked where the flowers came from, and when told replied: "oh, I knew it!" That is a sign of a florist with a signature look, right there! Only 4 stars for a missed delivery date. The flowers were beautiful - and reasonably priced. I live in Texas and ordered these really on a leap of faith since my family in Pocatello has not lived there long enough to know who the best florist is in the area. Ordering was easy, very personable service on the phone - just missed the delivery date - not a big deal since it was a long distance birthday celebration rather than a wedding or a funeral.
