Greensleeves has something the others do not and that is Neil. The flowers are always in tip top condition and last for ages, they do not up and die the following day as they do when you buy them from the supermarkets. Neil always goes out of his way to display the flowers so unusually and stylishly always with an extra je ne said quoi. They wrap the flowers for you in beautiful paper or cellophane with raffia ribbon. Today he had beautiful lavender coloured tulips and paperwhites. I love flowers and it is always uplifting going in to buy some. Even if its only a bunch of daffodils the reception you receive is warm and makes you feel special. Looking in from the outside, you might get the impression that you're about to enter a jungle...it's filled to the brim with floral goodness! I had a quick chat with the lovely lady who was managing the shop that day and I told her about what I was looking for: a sturdy plant for an office - one that doesn't die of if you fail to pay it special attention on regular intervals. She pointed to a Money Tree, but one that is a slightly different species to the usual one - it's a bit reddish on the tips. I liked it right away - especially her comment about if the plant is growing, the business is growing ;-) Said plant - the shop owner and I named it Charly - is now living happily in our office...and it only takes one pint-ful of water to keep it happy!
