The lady (I'm so sad I didn't ask/get her name) made sure to make a note on my order about the feline friendly flowers/greenery too. I don't know what I was expecting, but I what I picked up was absolutely gorgeous and it smelled wonderful! I made an appointment with Mo for my wedding floral and the day of my appointment, she greeted me with the biggest smile and the most intimate experience in their "wedding planning" room upstairs. I didn't have a complete vision for my floral just an idea of colors. I didn't even know the different types of florals. Mo was completely prepared with lots of samples and even samples of my venue. Mo is a talented flower professional with a genuinely sincere and caring personality. She has many random real and artificial flower and plant arrangements on display in the shop as well as several non-flower items liked stuffed bunnies, cloth birds or ceramic birdhouses. I wanted something with evergreens at Christmas to have the "smell" without the fuss of a tree or large wreath. She had a cute ceramic ornament that can be used as a cookie jar next year with a very nice display, under $50. It lasted almost six weeks! I also bought an artificial winter colors arrangement that I may use several years, made in a gingerbread mixing bowl also under $50. Maureen "Mo" at the flower cart always goes over and beyond! I order regularly from her, and each time, her arrangements are spectacular. This time, I ordered two arrangements on the Friday before Labor Day. It was my fault as they were closed until Tuesday and incredibly busy on Friday. She called me and said she had contacted the wholesaler at 6AM and that they would make a special trip with special flowers. Both arrangements were beautiful with unusual flowers. Instead, it was some single color flowers with lots of greenery. I assume full responsibility for the mistake as I should have pursued exactly what a "dish garden" entailed - however that isn't usually a "guy" thing. I live in New York but order flowers several times a year for my mother who resides in Lakeland. I discovered Flower Cart several years ago, and since then they have been my go-to florist. Maureen (Mo), the owner, is always warm and welcoming on the phone and she makes helpful suggestions if I can't decide what to get. Mom has always been extremely pleased with the arrangements that she receives (and I get to rack up the good-daughter points -- bonus!). Only one time was there a small mistake in the flowers I ordered, and when I called Mo to let her know, she apologized and immediately rushed a new arrangement with the right flowers to my mother's house, no questions asked. I called this flower shop a few minutes ago to place a 200.00 order of flowers for my mother In Law that was recently diagnosed with Lou Guerig's disease. Her Birthday is next week and she is in her 80's. I talked with one of the lady's that does the arrangements, and told her money was not an issue, that I wanted my Mother in law to have a wonderful fragrant smelling jaw dropping arrangement and was about to place the order and asked if they would text me a picture of the lovely arrangement when it was completed before it was sent out to make sure it looked the way I requested and the lady that was working today flatly said she didn't do texting... I asked her if she had that capability and she said yes but it was against her policy to text flowers before or after hey were sent out. So, this was very disheartening t o say the very least, and showed my zero compassion. When a customer is willing to spend 200.00 or MORE on a nice arrangement of flowers I feel this is part of customer service and of course the customer who spends that kind of money wants to make sure they are getting what they paid for. I told the florist this and she flatly said there were no exceptions. So, I told her she lost a very good customer. It is a shame when you are willing to pay a substantial amount of money the florist would rather turn down a client than pick up a phone, dial a number and text t hem a picture of the arrangement especially when it is for a dying loved one's Birthday... I took my business to Petals of Lakeland, Linda, who gladly took my order even though the delivery was out of their driving distance was patient, kind, and so compassionate. It's a shame more businesses and people are not more like Linda with Petals of Lakeland, wiling to go the extra mile for their customers~ and charged me half the delivery fee too, all because of the situation and her true compassion towards people and her customers. read more

I was very impressed by the friendliness and dedication to get flowers delivered to my aunt who I thought was still in a Lakeland rehab center. They tried to deliver flowers to her and turned out she had been released(unbeknownst to me). They called me back to tell me she wasn't there and offered to take them to her home. Problem was she lives in a town about 15 miles away. They offered to call her and make sure she was home and then called me back confirming that she was at home and said they would be happy to deliver to her but it would cost me an additional $6. Are you kidding me? I wouldnt do it for $6!! Of course I jumped on that and they delivered to her that afternoon. My aunt and cousin were home and both said that each flower in the arrangement was "perfection". you just dont find this kind of caring service and attention to detail that often. well done and thank you very much! read more
