    wine slush

Two words. Wine slushee. also, add a shot of rum for $1. This store features a local Florida Winery. They use the wines to make slushees for purchase to enjoy on their patio in Johns Pass. The slushee is $7 and they have a bunch of different flavors. We combined sangria and mango and added a shot for $1! It's so yummy. Be careful for a brain freeze! They sell their wines, but I think $15.99 was a little too pricey. They also serve draft beers from Mad Beach Brewery! They had a decent selection but I didn't see that until after my slushee. Next time! We always stop here when we are in the village. The shp also has souvenir type items, decor, some spices, etc. You should stop in and get a slushee to enjoy on the boardwalk, people watch, and relax while you sip something cold in the humid florida heat.

Definitely a cool place I only went here for the wine slushes they were sooooo freaking good I got them refilled like 10 times lol. If you like sweet alcoholic beverages this is definitely the place for you. They have multiple flavors and the cup you get is a big green one for $15 and refills are $8. Super cool place I'd definitely visit, evening worker lady is kinda weird tho lol. Still check it out if you like them alcohol slushes they were tasty and had me leanin riding my electric scooter!

I love going to wineries. One of my favorite places to go is the Stetson winery in Arizona. However this winery is actually the end point, there's no real tour to go on on site. They just have the end product there. They have at least 20 different signature kinds of wine that are simply irresistible. Jonathan's pass is a fun little beach side walk along area with shops and restaurants all the touristy stuff you can fine. But it's incredible. They'll let you sample just about anything and they have seating outdoors right next to the cigar bar for you to sip on your wine or one of their frozen wine smoothies. They do deliver winds around the country. However I've always had to stand up until the past few years because I haven't had a chance to go back but I have Mr. wine so much. Also worthy of note there's a bar above that opened that's part of this establishment that has a homemade brewing facility within it. So you'll find a lot of wine selections there as well but with a fun festive environment. Upstairs or downstairs you're guaranteed to have a great time The staff are always knowledgeable and pleasant. And if you tip them well the pours are definitely generous :-)

Pina colada and sangria with shot of rum We go here every year to buy a wine freeze with a shot of rum. Such a pleasant drink and the shot of rum takes the flavor over the top. The gift shop is great fun to shop in and when I returned home - we got online and ordered the wine freeze bottles to make our own The employees are always happy which means they like their job. They are very helpful about shipping something back home. This is a must stop for us every time we visit Florida

Mango and Sangria frozen smoothie with a shot of wine. Excellent... a must try. Enjoy.

Blache, black cherry wine and sangria. Both very bueno.

Very cool little winery/Florida tourist trinkets shop. This winery sits along a walkway with a ton of tourist gift shops, so it's really easy to pass this spot up if you're not aware of the vino gems they have inside. What I didn't personally know for a long time was that they make their own wine and sell it here. And what makes it special is the variety of different fruits they use to do so. Oranges, cherries, mangos, you name it and they probably got it. I won't say it's the best place to get some wine, but I will say I always grab a bottle when I'm in Madeira. I just wouldn't drive out there specifically for their wine. I suggest their red sangria and the Blache, which is a Black Cherry wine. It has a nice balance of sweet and dry, which works out perfect for me and the chica!

Key lime freeze and strawberry freeze

Came in for wine freezes after seeing how good they were online. SO GOOD and refreshing after being out in the sun. Was about $17 for two wine freezes with the added shot of rum. They were delicious.

Strawberry wine! Out of this world delicious!

Located in the middle of the shops, this winery is the star! Cool gifts, lots of treats, but most importantly amazing locally made wine! Local as in inside the building. Great place and the prices are very competitive. $14 for a bottle of this is a steal. I personally adore the strawberry wine and the razz is great, too. They have free wine tasting so you can choose what you would like. You can even order a chilled bottle and sit in front of the store and enjoy it by the bottle or by the glass! They also offer wine ice cream and wine slushies. Great service, prices, and products!

I also had the pleasure of meeting the husband and wife duo that makes all of these Florida grown products. They made this experience so much fun. All you need to know is that their natural wines, jellies, and jams were all amazing. There's something for everyone here. So, I decided to take a different route back to Brandon from Ellenton just so that I could try these wines. It was an easy drive on US-301 as I made my way to Wauchula Rd. This is where the adventure started for me. It's a 2 lane road with a speed limit of 60 MPH that takes you past farm lands and phosphate mines. I honestly felt like I was lost in the middle of nowhere. Thank goodness for GPS. I pretty much knew that Bunker Hill Road would be coming up soon after passing Lake Parrish, and there it was. The winery is across the street and to the left of the fork in the road. There's plenty of parking in front of it along rows of grape vines. At that point, I was just happy that I found it. I didn't really get a chance to explore around the vineyard. Lenora found me in front of the farm winery accessory building where the wine tasting would begin. That's when I also met Larry as they invited me inside the tasting room. What a cool set up they have! It's inside of what looks like a heavily insulated Quonset hut. Larry explained the differences between unfiltered and filtered wine. Honestly, I didn't know there was a difference. It raised so many questions, and actually made me aware of all the additives that are placed into manufactured wines during the filtering process. Some that I have actually been sensitive to in the past. It was interesting to hear about their process, and even the way they recycle their bottles and jelly jars. They are truly sustainable. What I also noticed is that most (if not all) of their wines are vegan. I'm not vegan, so it's not something that I usually look for. I just didn't know that animal proteins are commonly used in the process of making wine. It's all very interesting. Let's talk about the wine tasting. There's a list of medium dry, dry, and sparkling wines. I made my selections from the list of medium dry wines. I did take some suggestions from them, and I'm so glad that I did. Otherwise, I would have never tried the Bamboo Herbal Tea or Dandelion Flower Petal. Just open your mind to all the possibilities. Your palate will thank you later. There are fruit, vegetable, flower, coffee, tea, and even bamboo wines. I think I saw rice wine as well. If it has grape, then it's the muscadine variety. If you want a mixture, then I totally suggest the Strawberry/Grape wine. This one was one of my favorites. I was also in love with the Guava wine. The same goes for the jam. It's insanely wonderful. You can get it with or without the seeds. I wanted to buy all of the ones on my list. I ended up getting six 12 oz. bottles so that I could share them with my husband. He was just as amazed as I was with his samples of wine. The flavors are so clear and with such a great color and aroma. There was no unpleasant after taste, and it wasn't overly sweet like other Florida fruit wines that I've tasted. I didn't get that wine headache which usually happens with red wines. I guess I'm just sensitive to something in it. I also sampled Lenora's Bamboo Leaf Herbal Tea. It was so refreshing! What a great way to end the tasting. Anyway, I tried 6 different samples for $6. They are truly just a sample. Don't expect to get full size glasses. It's not a wine bar. However, you can purchase a charcuterie platter if you call 24 hours in advance of your tasting. They'll have it ready for you. Once you do the first wine tasting, the other tastings will be complimentary when you return. That's when I plan on trying the vegetable wines. There is one that actually tastes like a salad. I didn't get to try the coffee wine, but I did sample the coffee wine jelly. It was actually very good. The starfruit wine jelly is even better. I can't wait to go back. Hopefully my husband will come along with me next time. I think he would love sampling the wines and jellies. I didn't really get to see the rest of the vineyard this time around. Maybe next time. Thank you Larry & Lenora for making it such an informative & fun experience.
