This is one of the shops located at the Johns pass shopping area. My wife absolutely loves the wine slushies that are sold here and forces me to stop every time we're in the area. Tons of different beers and fruity slushy type drinks to choose from. This place is also tiki bar central. Tons of stuff available here for purchase to decorate your tiki bar. Also, numerous other souvenir options from hot sauce to magnets. And pretty much anything you can think of. The staff is very friendly and insightful. This is a large wine store that sells many local wines. However, as many other reviews have mentioned, one of the best reasons to stop in is for their wine slushies. They are only $7 each and you can even mix different flavors into one cup (mango, sangria, strawberry, key lime). We had two of them with an extra shot of rum for $1. Definitely a cool place I only went here for the wine slushes they were sooooo freaking good I got them refilled like 10 times lol. If you like sweet alcoholic beverages this is definitely the place for you. They have multiple flavors and the cup you get is a big green one for $15 and refills are $8. Two words. Wine slushee. also, add a shot of rum for $1. This store features a local Florida Winery. They use the wines to make slushees for purchase to enjoy on their patio in Johns Pass. The slushee is $7 and they have a bunch of different flavors. We combined sangria and mango and added a shot for $1! It's so yummy. Be careful for a brain freeze! They sell their wines, but I think $15.99 was a little too pricey. They also serve draft beers from Mad Beach Brewery! They had a decent selection but I didn't see that until after my slushee. Next time! We always stop here when we are in the village. The shp also has souvenir type items, decor, some spices, etc. You should stop in and get a slushee to enjoy on the boardwalk, people watch, and relax while you sip something cold in the humid florida heat. read more

I love going to wineries. One of my favorite places to go is the Stetson winery in Arizona. However this winery is actually the end point, there's no real tour to go on on site. They just have the end product there. They have at least 20 different signature kinds of wine that are simply irresistible. Jonathan's pass is a fun little beach side walk along area with shops and restaurants all the touristy stuff you can fine. But it's incredible. They'll let you sample just about anything and they have seating outdoors right next to the cigar bar for you to sip on your wine or one of their frozen wine smoothies. They do deliver winds around the country. However I've always had to stand up until the past few years because I haven't had a chance to go back but I have Mr. wine so much. Also worthy of note there's a bar above that opened that's part of this establishment that has a homemade brewing facility within it. So you'll find a lot of wine selections there as well but with a fun festive environment. Upstairs or downstairs you're guaranteed to have a great time The staff are always knowledgeable and pleasant. And if you tip them well the pours are definitely generous :-) read more

We really enjoy the Florida Winery. Consumer beware though, if you are a dry wine drinker the selections are limited to only 2 or 3. Their wine, wine slushees, and wine ice cream are all amazing. The wine sampling is free. If they aren't busy they will pretty much allow you to sample unlimited amounts. Just remember the rule "the more you sip, the more you tip!" These bartenders are working on retail wages, so please bring cash to tip them. They have 3 different types of sangria: a red, a white, and a watermelon. Holy cow that watermelon sangria tastes like a jolly rancher and it's some dangerous stuff! After we completed our tasting we each wanted a glass of it; turns out a whole pitcher is the same price as 2 glasses ($12) so we couldn't resist that bargain! They even served it up with some cute watermelon candies on the rim of the pitcher. What's great is we were able to take our pitcher upstairs to the Mad Beach brewery & get some munchies. This is a really good spot, whether you're a tourist or a local pretending to be a tourist for the day. read more

Pina colada and sangria with shot of rum We go here every year to buy a wine freeze with a shot of rum. Such a pleasant drink and the shot of rum takes the flavor over the top. The gift shop is great fun to shop in and when I returned home - we got online and ordered the wine freeze bottles to make our own The employees are always happy which means they like their job. What a unique "winery"! There is not wine making equipment, on premises, as far as I know. To me, this felt like more of a gift shop that offered wine tastings. This may not be fair to say.....they may make the wine........but I didn't see it and they didn't bring that to our attention. As far as a winery, I didn't buy it. But for John's Pass, I was happy to taste wines!! read more

They offer a pretty interesting tour in the behind the scenes making of wine. All the fruit and wine you buy anywhere in the state is made here so it's pretty neat. At the end of the tour they let you sample different wines they make. Some are pretty good so I bought a few. I can't say how the tour stuff works now with the pandemic but once it goes back to normal it's definitely worth checking out. read more

Very cool little winery/Florida tourist trinkets shop. This winery sits along a walkway with a ton of tourist gift shops, so it's really easy to pass this spot up if you're not aware of the vino gems they have inside. What I didn't personally know for a long time was that they make their own wine and sell it here. And what makes it special is the variety of different fruits they use to do so. Oranges, cherries, mangos, you name it and they probably got it. I won't say it's the best place to get some wine, but I will say I always grab a bottle when I'm in Madeira. I just wouldn't drive out there specifically for their wine. I suggest their red sangria and the Blache, which is a Black Cherry wine. It has a nice balance of sweet and dry, which works out perfect for me and the chica! read more

We were up to trying another winery on our list. We googled wineries and found this one. It was refreshing semi-sweet wine. We tried wines that were so different than you normally can find around anywhere. We liked the Strawberry Riesling, and the Cabernet Sauvignon. The staff was friendly and helpful with the wine tasting. We really liked this place. It is not my type of wine because I like dry wines. However every once in awhile it is refreshing to try something else. The grape that is used to make the wine is from Florida. The grape is grown in both California and Canada. The juices are shipped to Florida where they make the wine. Check this place out if you're in the area read more

Loved the wine, but the two ladies were kinda rude. I tried the wine upstairs at the amazing restaurant and decided to.come down and buy a bottle. I couldn't wait t to get out. They acted like they were not appreciative. Everyone else got a pretty bag and i got a plain one. Glad I only got one bottle. I think I was scared to try any other wine because she gave me the look, but everyone else came in with no problems and got to try wines and they were happy and all cheery with them. We were too hot to wine taste, but this store is packed with cute wine gear, and we could not resist some goodies. Some were things I have been looking for for years, like the mylar disk pourers. There is a cute bar for tasting along the side of the store, and I saw people sitting out front enjoying something. Come here for gifts for your oenophile friends. I love browsing touristy beach shops, despite my lack of need for any more stuff. So it was nice to see a wine store among them. Very friendly area. read more

This is an interesting place in the Tampa-St.Pete area that I was introduced to several years back and was able to return on a recent vacation. It's just a neat little place. They have a decent wine selection and can boast several award-winning brands; all of which can be sampled in-shop. This wine can be taken by itself, in a frozen smoothie-esc style, and even as wine infused ice cream! There is a seating area outside you can use to enjoy your new beverage, or it can be packed up for transport. That's not all they offer though, as there are plenty of spices, recipes, candies, rum cakes, and even a hot sauce bar guests can sample from for a different experience. I'll say for me that I will always make time in Tampa for at least one visit to the Florida Winery! read more

Located in the middle of the shops, this winery is the star! Cool gifts, lots of treats, but most importantly amazing locally made wine! Local as in inside the building. Great place and the prices are very competitive. $14 for a bottle of this is a steal. I personally adore the strawberry wine and the razz is great, too. They have free wine tasting so you can choose what you would like. You can even order a chilled bottle and sit in front of the store and enjoy it by the bottle or by the glass! Last night was different when I tried one of their frosted drinks, the mango flavored one. It was delicious and only had 5% alcohol. The best part was that they had a buy one, get one free special, which made getting one of these drinks even more appealing and affordable. I've been to this place a few times and have bought a few bottles of wine. When my family was in town, I decided to take them there because they had a passion fruit wine I wanted them to taste before they bought. The ladies working the drinks area were rude. They ignored us and didn't even look our way. A "non colored" couple walked inside and got immediate service. We decided to go back to the drinks area now that the girls were there. The other couple got almost a half of glass of wine to taste and for my mother and aunt, she gave them one sip. I felt discriminated against from the moment we walked in. We are a family that loves wine and would have bought multiple bottles, but due to the way they treated us we walked out. I will never return there again. Also, The girl with the very long brown hair was very rude. Only gave one star just to post this. read more

These people replaced the Florida Orange Growers wine outlet (wines made from non-grapes) with a more traditional wine outlet (wines about $20/bottle). They provide a wine tasting bar, also sell beers, hot sauces related products. They have placed adirondack chairs on the sidewalk and sell sixes of craft beer by the bucket. I rated them lower for a couple reasons. I think they're catering too hard to public drinking rather than fine wine tasting. They very rarely offer help/welcome the customer. The chips and hot sauces that are out for tasting look dingy/dirty. They "knock" the former wine store (and fruit wines) which I loved. I do love the $5-$6 dipped caramel & nutty apples they sell near the back. read more

Great sweet wines in a lot of interesting fruity favors. They also have a lot of local foods for purchase: salsa, bbq sauce, salad dressing, etc. They do offer free wine tasting but the staff wasn't as friendly or enthusiastic about you trying more than 1 or 2 things. Really wish they just offered a tasting of their whole menu or at least 5-6 choices for a flat fee like most wineries do. There was plenty I wanted to try (and probably would have bought more) if I had that opportunity. I did end up purchasing the strawberry wine to take home for a souvenir for family. You can also buy wine slushies for $5 (which were a great size for the price) and they have a little sitting area outside in the shade where you can drink them and people watch. read more

Although I'm always one to support Florida wine, this friendly place is a bit too sweet for me. Cute little girly wines, but not too sure I could find say, a Merlot with some backbone here. Should probably warn this is not for serious wine tasters. This is just for fun. Regardless the staff is eager to have you taste until you find something you fall in love with, and I still walked out with some bottles for gifts. They have a variety of offerings. Ingenious to have Wine Slush at a beach setting, what a cool treat. This shop should be a stop on anyone's Madeira Beach itinerary, and loitering is encouraged. read more

Hidden gem! This winery has lots more to offer than just your standard wines! They offer several unique fruit based wines that are fantastic. Go on in and sample as many as you would like. The wine slushies are a great treat on a hot day and something different! Visiting from NY and found this cute little place. I was really looking forward to doing a tasting, and learning about the wine, and really wanted to buy a bottle of wine or two to bring home. But after dealing with the grumpy faces and attitudes of the lady's behind the counter I had to walk out. They made me feel like I as a customer was nothing but an inconvenience to them. I really wanted to buy a bottle but with staff who make you feel uncomfortable, and flat out miserable and in pained over there job and such. I was a bit disappointed because there was a buy two bottles get one free coupon and also a deal in the store that was 3 bottles for $45, but after all of the restrictions there were only just a few types you could use either deal on so they were pretty much useless. Also the lady who waited on us was very rude. She would interrupt you mid sentence and acted bothered to have to help you or answer any questions. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!! While the wine is quite sweet & enjoyable the male owner was incredibly rude! After spending over $40 in their store, I asked for a box to pack my wine in. The owner told me that he would have to charge me $17 for a box. I explained that I did not want anything fancy, just a box & packing wrap to pack up the purchases that I just made in their store. He again told me that it would be $17 for a simple, plain box! I will not be returning or purchasing from their again! No matter how good of a product you have, if you're rude and have bad customer service you will not succeed in business!!! read more
