Jennifer saved the day! Booking was easy, the house was amazing. We had two calls with questions while we were there and things were addressed immediately by her staff. Upon arrive a lovely charcuterie box Was waiting for us. We plan to book with Jennifer and AMI for years to come. We have found our new vacation home! Thanks to all who made this happen. All of which were recently renovated This compound is one acre and has two homes. The second priority was outdoor space with 6 kids from 2 to 13 to run and play. The property offered that as well with lots of game options like cornhole, golf, soccer, frisbee golf and more. The pool was large and there is a hot tub The kitchens nice and are well stocked. Not a fan of induction stove top - very finicky even with correct cookware. The large game room became an evening gathering place. Now the not so good. I chose the property because of my love for pickleball that I wanted to teach the grands. The court is a joke There are no sides as it is walled right at lines It is built on a slope so every ball off back rolls down driveway out the gate and down the street Worst of all the ac condensation flows all through the court turning it into an ice skating rink as I learned quickly Speaking of ice skating. At least 7 of us slipped and fell around the pool and no we were not running. It is treacherous. Now let's talk service level from Albert at Anchor. From the time I made a reservation to questions in advance of our stay it took multiple calls and follow ups to get responses. The same was true on property. We had the porch roof partially collapse and asked if it was safe or at least should be cautioned taped in area Sent some one to clean up but no other response. We had no hot water most of our stay. We called texted emailed and the only response was there's a work order on for it. Never happened I would be concerned about renting from this group. When on vacation - a very costly one- it should not be as tough as it was to get responses and support when issues arise. We chose to rent through them because cheaper than air b and b or Vrbo. I guess maybe we got what we paid over 10k for idk?

Lake O Woods AKA camping with the woods Say it to yourself out loud....I am willing to go on family vacation and kill ants and roaches daily and be okay with replacing all food items that were purchased and washing all dishes that roaches and ants were in contact with. Maybe the people I communicated with about my issues this is a normal day in their life dealing with the insect at their house. Definitely not okay at my house. . If I owned the house I would be embarrassed. Just as I was to introduce this experience to my family. I know I sent a text with pictures and videos of a snapshot of what we got to experience. It was handled with a service person for roaches and ants, plumbing issues call and a apologizing text. So good on management company on responding right!? Ants. Roaches. Ants. Wasps. Roaches. Broken closet light in the master. Roaches. Ants. Shower not draining/toilet leak/backup (NOT caused by us per the plumber) repeat on ants and roaches killing daily with my own spray I purchased while on this vacation. Explaining the insect infestation to the family members you invited on vacation and your toddler children....fun right on vacation right!? We booked this rental because it was phenomenal last year. This year the place has clearly taken some steps back. I don't know how I ended up paying the price I paid $3500 to do basically camping with a private pool that ended with green algae/moss in it by the end of the stay. My wife will not let us and our family return to this property.. Explaining daily why we have to buy new food because the bugs took it over is not something someone should have to do on vacation. Nor is it a vacation when you see 3 different house service people. (Maintenance, plumber, pest inspection) there are so many places to do business with down here.... Unfortunately this was a tough expensive experience. I don't know what the fix should have been...(maybe finding us a property that could get us in if vacant) another idea is that when a service needs to happen....should I bet the person to be taking to the plumber or pest control or should there be a liaison from said management company there to handle it.... However I wasn't able to book another property after day 1 and 2 and 3 of issues. I would have loved to book a hotel for 8 or get out of this infested house... But that's not possible when you are binded by the money you already spent on this rental. Again a truly expensive experience lesson learned. Make it make sense. Reach out for questions. My partner and I rented a home in Venice, Fl. for the months of February and March, 2025…read more Unfortunately our experience was less than we expected as the home was not ready for occupancy when we arrived on Saturday, February 1st. Because it was a Saturday the office was closed and we had to obtain our entry packet through a lock box. Our first problem was trying to enter the front door with the code we were given. The code was incorrect and we spent quite awhile trying to make it work. A phone call to Horse & Chaise was answered by a recording. We went around to the side and were finally able the get in using the keys. but to our dismay the paving bricks all along the side of the house were loose. An orange construction cone was on top. The pavers along the pool underneath the cage were also loose. This was a problem as our 4 and 2 year old granddaughters were coming on the 3rd. We finally got ahold of someone at Horse & Chaise on Monday but although Brian came and took pictures, it was over a week until the pavers were repaired and as we feared our granddaughters tripped and fell. It was several days until the code was changed so we could access the home through the front door. There was a CharBroil gas grill out by the pool under the cage. It did not appear it had been used in some time. It was rusty and the warmest it got was 250 degrees. We used it once after scrubbing it with a brillo pad but our food had chunks of rust and metal on it. We went to Ace Hardware and bought a small grill. Also evident was the cockroach infestation. We killed several. Finally, the bench alongside the bistro table in the Florida room was missing a support rail and was wobbly. We approached Horse & Chaise regarding some compensation for our less than satisfactory experience. We were rebuffed. Think twice about renting through Horse & Chaise.

Keep in mind I had had multiple phone conversations, we confirmed a one month rental while we waited to close on our house, and everything seemed on the up and up. Then they said we hadn't informed them there would be dogs and there was a pet fee. I replied oh yes I did, it was the first email I sent and the first conversation we had in late June. They said well whatever we are charging you. I said no, I told you about the dogs, and we negotiated the month long rental fee which I agreed to pay, and you already knew about the dogs so I assumed it was in that total amount. Then came the rudeness, the gaslighting, and shutting me down. They are not interested at all in customer service, even though I have in writing that I informed them of the dogs. The dogs were part of the deal from the beginning. They charged the card they had on file without my approval and with no additional paperwork signed. On their invoice, it tells you you can go to YapStone Inc if you have complaints about the charges. I did, and followed the info to Florida. The number they tell you to call for Yap immediately is picked up and hangs up on you. So clearly not a legit business number. They also give you a number for Florida Office of Financial Regulation, but THAT number is a scam trying to sell me fake Medicare. Wow wow wow. So now not only do I think the company is just unethical and rude, but I am wondering if this is a fraud scheme from top to bottom because their payment processing company clearly isn't a legit business. There are lots of rentals in Florida folks, look elsewhere and get it from a mom and pop owner who won't scam you like this.

We booked and paid for a vacation rental 3 months in advance, had a…read moresigned contract for the rental, received multiple confirmation emails and phone calls... then got a phone call 3 days before check-in that our "rental was double-booked" and they needed to move us to a different rental. There were not any comparable units available with the key elements of the unit we had already paid for - updated furnishings, sleeps 6, a pool and across the street from the beach, and they didn't offer a discount for these "less than" alternatives. They did refund my money, including all the "add on fees" that added over $500 to our 3-day rental price... and blamed it on the owner of the unit. NOT an honest and just business practice. Book with another vacation rental agency so you don't get stranded like we did!

It was a beautiful stay. The softest Beach sand I ever walked on. White powder! For that you have to come visit. For all future Siesta Key visits , Siesta Sands on the Beach will be my home base. Nothing else needed. Park right at your door & walk in to a first or second floor unit. Only 16 units total, all with direct beach view & access. You can view the individual condo units online and chose the one you want. Flexibility to rent a few nights or a week. We rented unit 71 for 3 nights. We preferred 1st floor as you have a small patio on the front and back. #71 is one bedroom but has sofa pull-out bed if desired. The owner has it fully engineered with 3 ceiling fans, USB ports, storage everywhere, kitchen with all dish-ware, 2 TV's, plus all the little items you may have forgotten to bring. Well thought out for many little conveniences. Bonus, it is only a 7 minute walk to the village where there are many shops, restaurants, etc., but little parking available day or night. We walked to the Summer House and the Cottage and recommend both.

However, the ceiling was not aesthetically pleasing and appeared in poor repair. It was great to have a king size bed, however, it was so soft and flimsy that my husband and I had a pretty terrible time sleeping and ended up in quite a bit of back pain. Some of the windows were missing screens, so we couldn't open them without worrying about letting in the bugs and lizards, even though the weather was beautiful outside. The hot water ran out within approximately five minutes every time we tried to take a shower-- which we tried at various times of the day and night. The bathroom window was broken which made it very inconvenient since there was not a ceiling exhaust fan. For nearly $2000 for one week, we expected at minimum a comfortable bed and enough hot water for both of us to take a shower. We may come back to Anna Maria Island again someday, but we will definitely stay somewhere else. We looked up the property next-door, and it was fully renovated with its own heated pool, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms, large common areas, pool table and more for only $1000 more.
