Horrible experience! No compassion, they came in all ready with their sales pitch about how they will be with you the entire way and fight for you with your insurance company. Florida State came to our house to do a mold test because we were getting sick in our home. He found out that the source was coming from our very old air conditioning system. Initially, I contacted Project Manager David Van Hook to discuss a mold remediation project in the family room at my mother-in-law's home in Delray Beach. Mr. Van Hook was always prompt in replying to phone calls and emails as we discussed and finalized the details, cost, insurance coverage, scheduling, etc., for the project. During this past week, the members of the team from Florida State Restoration Services started the project on Monday and by noon on Friday, the work was complete. We just moved into our new home on December 28th of 2015 and after 4 1/2 weeks the roof had several leaks and I did not know what we were going to do! Florida State Restoration services was recommend to me and my info was given to Gene and he called me that night and scheduled an appointment to come the next day. He got here an was very nice, very professional. He had a guy with him to help and he was also very nice. I let them do there thing, and they ended up tarping my roof and securing the tarp very well expecially since there is more rain coming. Gene wanted to make sure no more water came in. He did not ask me for any money, Gene said they bill the insurance company directly which was awesome for me. I also had the pleasure of meeting Kim, Gene's wife. She was super nice and spent some time chatting with me and gave me some very useful information. I am waiting on there quote which I should have pretty soon. Kim told me that they offer financing for the roofs, which no other roofing company has told me they offer financing so that is a great option! We are doing a insurance claim because there is alot of water damage and that can take a bit of time before they pay. I will definitely update my post once I find out some more info but so far I am very impressed with them and I hope they can help us. read more

I called FL State Restoration (on a Friday) in a panic as water was running like a faucet from all areas of my garage ceiling into my garage and everything in the garage. Water was pouring out of the garage light which was hanging sideways loaded with water, out of the electrical outlets, out of the garage door opener, out of the attic, the entire garage ceiling was pouring water like a faucet into the garage interior. It was also pouring outside like the great flood and I was ready to start building an Ark. Gene from FL State responded to my panic, and he showed up during the deluge within an hour despite his already overloaded schedule. I was immediately impressed since two other roofing companies had either not shown up or told me I would need to wait until Monday since they did not work weekends! Since I could not wait days longer especially since the forecast was for the deluge to continue all weekend, I keep calling various roofing companies and found Gene. Thank God I did, not only did Gene show up in the worse weather and within an hour, he immediately mitigated further damage, and kept the water from getting into the main body of the house, and saving us unknown damages. Then he organized a crew to come back as promptly as possible to put in a temporary fix to stop the major roof leak. Once the deluge finally passed, Gene and the crew came back right away, did a major roof repair for an incredibly good price, and then also repaired the entire garage, pulling down all the waterlogged drywall, drying everything out, and basically rebuilding the garage interior like new. Also for an incredibly great price. I cannot say enough about how fast, fair, and honest Gene and Florida Restoration was to us. So happy we found them! Now we finally know who to call, and it sure was nice to have the Roofing Crew and the Remediation Crew from the same company! What a find, highly recommend!! read more

Company did a mold inspection on a property we were interested in and failed it. We then had a second inspector perform a mold inspection and passed the property. Second inspector said first inspection was flawed since said company did not take samples both inside and outside of home to contrast which they said was basic procedure. Florida has lot of mold conditions due to humidity. Mold inspection was also subcontracted out by first company. Appeared the company was trying to make a big score on additional repair work. read more

I contacted Florida State Restoration on a Sunday night after my a/c pan overflowed and it wasn't discovered until I returned home from a 4 day vacation. All my wood floors were completely submerged under water, my furniture damaged (like a tidal wave came through my house.) When I called, I spoke directly with the owner Gene (not an answering service, which surprised me) who calmed me down and assured his crew will be at my house within an hour or so. The guys showed up shortly after and dried my place up and set up their blowing machines. The loud humming noise was a little annoying, but the machines had to do it's job because I was told I would have a serious mold problem later down the road. I had one of the estimators meet me at my house the next day and they handled everything with my insurance company & adjuster. a few days later my house was dry next step was remediation and rebuild estimates and again, I was made aware of everything that was happening within my claim and all emails I was copied in. I know that getting drywall cut and these plastic barriers seems intimidating and inconvenient... but i just kept breathing and saying: My house will be back to normal soon and my family's health wouldn't be compromised. I have to just chime in on Susan's complaint, I dealt with many folks over at Florida State and I didn't get any nasty or rude employee's. Being that she said she was in their way.... I would only "assume" she wasn't listening to their instructions. I was told specifically to stay out of the plastic containment due to a health and safety hazard. Mine & my family's health is more important than whatever room is sitting behind the plastic containment. Overall, this is WONDERFUL company. I highly recommend them, they were super helpful and took care of the whole rigmarole of dealing with Insurance company's and adjusters. - Natasha read more
