Mine was the dreaded broken glass on a piece of framed artwork. Located on the island in Venice, there was easy parking on the street right in front of the shop. The woman working at the counter was attentive and gave me a price to install a new piece of glass right away. She said it would be done today or tomorrow. They over delivered and had it done in just a few hours. That's great service. Not only did they replace the broken glass at a reasonable price, but they mounted the picture back in the frame, just the way it was. I walked out of the shop with a "like new" picture frame for my art wall. I hope I don't break any glass in the near future, but if I do, this is where I will go for a new piece of glass. Cheers!

It's always difficult to find a good reliable contractor, especially since we live in CA and in…read morethese times it is even harder. We had 3 glass sliders on our mid-rise condo that needed to be replaced. There were material issues in the very beginning which were not the fault of Clear View Glass. Once the material was in, it took a while to get them out to install. They notified us that they finished the installation, but since we are in CA, we were unable to review the work. We did come a month or so later and met with Tom Helm on a final walkthrough and found several thing that were incorrect, not installed, or just plain unfinished. They were nothing major but still important. They ranged from bolts missing in the door handle, manufacturer stickers still on the glass (in a location where you could not access them to remove), door handles that would not properly latch, child proof locks that would not engage, and some other minor items. Tom said he would send someone out to address them. Well, after numerous emails, texts, phone calls, some one finally came out a couple of months later to fix the items. We were not in town to review their work. Later our tenants informed us that they could not use one of the sliders (the one the child proof lock would not engage) because the child proof lock could not be un-locked. My guess is they forced it in and now you cannot disengage it. We again called, texted, emailed Tom and after a couple of months he responded that he would send someone out. After several months, that still has not happened. We are giving up and see if we can find a reputable contractor to fix the problems. In our experience, quality work, pride in workmanship, and customer service are NOT to be expected with Clear View Glass. Buyer beware and you are forewarned!!!
