My big grudge with Edward Jones is that they charged him 95 dollars for each account he transferred to Fidelity! He had a good experience with his financial advisor just a little upset with the final money grab Edward Jones made off with. Be sure to ask up front (any agency) about possible transfer fees occurring in the event you want to move YOUR MONEY to another institution. Ridiculous amount if you ask me (325 dollars) for three accounts!

I've used MJ Tax & Consulting for two years in a row now and May has been a pleasure to work with. Everything can be done via email and a convenient online portal for keeping all your docs and records. May took me every step of the way, answering all my questions (via email because that was easiest for me) and helping me know which tax docs were necessary. Her fee was totally reasonable ($150) and she filed the returns for me (and got me a pretty penny back!). Besides that, I wanted some financial advice when it came to stocks and tax implications of selling them or holding them. For that, she scheduled me in for an in-person meeting and was really helpful with advice and knowledge on my specific questions. I paid her separately for consulting, but the rate was reasonable for piece of mind. Overall, I'd highly recommend this company. And I have! I've sent quite a few friends their way, and they've been happy with the services.
