I will likely never do business with this shop again due to their failure to comply with the Federal court order for suppressors, sbr and sbsg. I was told they would not do so because their lawyer and the ATF told them not to until the ATF issued further guidance. Since when do you need ATF permission to obey a federal court order? That is all regardless of the fact I fit the order in GOA member, transfer from Silencer Shop and living in FL. They claim to be 2nd amendment advocates and yet disregarded the thing many of us have fought for years to obtain. I had also bought a suppressor directly online from them that I had to cancel and to their credit it was promptly refunded in full. For the transfer of the other item, I had to change to another smaller western Volusia shop that is complying which of course further delayed things in a new form 3 dealer transfer. As I recall none of the Daytona area dealers are complying. They must all have the same shyster lawyers, and I believe they should all be in contempt of court particularly with the fact the US DOJ decided to not appeal and to let the order stand. read more

This was the worst gun buying experience I've ever had, I've bought over 14 different firearms and fill out all forms the same yet at this store I was insulted by the employee running my paperwork. He tossed my paperwork away and said I looked too young to be in the military and even with my ID and military ID didn't accept my paperwork. Also didn't accept the deal that was made with the on floor employee and charged me outside of the deal that was made. At the end he refused to give me his name, old white male with glasses. While in the Ormond area one of my friends recommended that we stop at the Florida Gun Exchange to take a break from the heat. I had never been to this location in the past yet I have heard great things about The Florida Gun Exchange. For some reason I always thought it was a "Pop-up style gun show" that could be found throughout Florida but this is definitely not one of those! The Florida Gun Exchange is a huge 14,000 square foot facility like Bass Pro Shop but for guns! There are thousands of handguns, rifles, shot guns and knives to choose from. They also carry a large selection of ammunition, suppressors, scopes, lasers, personal protection equipment, tactical equipment/gear/clothing, hunting supplies, safe's and much more. The Florida Gun Exchange provides New Shooter Orientations and multiple other Right to Carry Firearms Training classes that can be purchased through their website however, when testing the "Link" I was unable to acquire more information due to the websites IP address being changed (might want to get this fixed ASAP). When on location, the staff were all friendly and quick to attend to my questions about the firearms or knives on display. If you are new to guns, this would be a great place to start. The staff are knowledgeable and can help direct you to a selection of guns that are most suitable to your needs and experience level. If you have never been to the Florida Gun Exchange, definitely take the time to check them out. The venue is spacious, clean, well-lit and organized. If you are new to guns, there is no better way to learn then from experts in the field who are ready and willing to educate newcomers in an open and inviting environment. read more

Prices seems decent for the new guns they had, and the selection was decent. Customer service was good. I had intended upon trading in some hunting rifles. I was offered 1100 at another shop, and here they only offered 400 in trade. I am not sure of the actual value since I don't buy or sell much, but that is a huge discrepancy. The worst gun manufacturer in the market. DO NOT BUY any of these guns. Completely unsafe, unreliable, out of specs and will break apart in your hands. My Falcon 9C stopped working after the 37 round, they sent a new barrel and did not work, send for repair and was sent back with a new slide/barrel and stopped working at the 26 round and blew up the front sight. This was my first visit to Florida Gun Exchange, and all I can say is wow! It's pretty big, had a ton of hand guns, rifles and shotguns. A large selection of other firearm equipment and knifes too. I was in there less than 2 minutes when I was approached by a friendly employee. We hit it off right away. He was extremely knowledgeable about everything I asked about. He helped me narrow down my wants and needs. And just like that, I bought a hand gun. I just want to be clear about something, this man did not upsell me in anyway. In actuality, I ended up buying a used firearm because the new ones were a little out of my price range. You don't find that at very many establishments anymore. Everybody always wants to sell you something new even if it is out of your price range. I didn't find this to be so and I'm thankful for that. I'll be going back to pick up my gun next week because of Florida law. But, I will always go to Florida Gun Exchange for my next weapon purchase for sure! read more

I had a good experience here. This was my second time visiting this location. The first was on a busy Saturday and the place was a madhouse. So I came in on a weekday and it was much less crowded. I purchased a gun and the whole experience was very smooth. Zack helped me out and helped me make a decision. Then you go through the background check which requires some paperwork. After that clears you pay and leave, very easy. If you are shopping for s gun, this store has probably the biggest inventory I have ever seen. While their have been shortages of product lately due to high demand this place seemed to fully stocked. While I was here, lots of repeat customers came in and warmly greeted the staff they knew. I give them a five star review, mostly because of the gun selection they have. Some other places did not have in stock what I wanted, but FGE had multiple ones in their inventory. Although it took a little while for a salesman to be available, he treated my preference with respect (I was looking for a carry gun with some old school features - like a semi-auto, with exposed hammer, with decocker, with manual safety that activates a firing pin block as well as a trigger block, and one that does not have a magazine safety). He was knowledgeable as to other guns that had some of these features and was candid that none had them all. Ammo is in short supply and driving 20 miles everyday to look is a bit much. They were nice enough to pull and hold a gun that I "did" purchase until I could get there as it was the only one left. TOP NOTCH- Incredible Customer Service with Extreme Product Knowledge! This mom and pop store is by far the BEST GUN STORE we have ever visited. Not only is the inventory beyond compare to any other store, their customer service and knowledge is beyond compared to any other gun store we have worked with in the past. They are able to reach a variety of distributors providing a large amount of gun brands at reasonable prices. We called initially to look for a specific gun which we couldn't find anywhere in the past couple of years (even prior to Covid). Todd diligently looked through current inventory and was able to hold it for pick up later that week- well worth the drive from Jacksonville. Upon entering the store it's open with beautiful hand gun gun cabinet displays, walls filled with ARs, stuffed display animals, gear, ammo and cases. Impressively clean, organized and everything was easy to find. Ben greeted me and assured any associate could help with order pick up and paperwork. He walked me through filling out paperwork for the background check and talked me through my gun purchase, gave me some tips for cleaning, answered question on other guns I was looking into and was able to share additional information about competitive shooting. His vast knowledge for self defense, competition and even gun smithing was incredible. He was very informative and genuine. After paperwork was completed, Greg competed the checkout process helping me pick out ammo compatible with the gun along with some information about upcoming courses and local matches in town. Bobby also offered his services with ordering custom builds with F1 Firearms. The incredible/ knowledgeable staff, the inventory, and the cleanliness was all top notch! I was researching several handguns and decided on a Ruger 380. Florida gun exchange was able to beat surrounding stores prices by $45.00 dollars. I also bought 1000 rounds of 9mm for my Glock. (big savings on the ammo) The salesperson who assisted me was Jerry, He was very helpful and answered all of my questions, but what he did at the end was very impressive, since I also bought other ammo beside a case of 9mm, he helped me carry everything out to my truck. Very fancy store with many displays and fully stocked inventory. I will say this place is very hit or miss. Some of the staff are professionals and have time and experience with the majority of the thousands of firearms. I have purchased a few here but little things are starting to add up. When I went to purchase a suppressor there's was a buy one get lower free deal. When it was time to fill out the paperwork I needed a ffl number or something similar to associate with the purchase. Wow boy did I get gruffly told off that they "don't give out that kind of information and don't help with paperwork it's my responsibility." Wowiee. What ever top secret number they wouldn't share with me is publicly available knowledge and I found in on another form from a prior transfer from them. They raised the transfer fee to 80$ which is pretty steep. Unfortunately they cater to low and medium grade firearms so the good stuff needs to be ordered. Went to get a long gun there and they couldn't get it. Told me to get it off midway which luckily they had it just had to pay the dumb 80$. 7000$ firearm. Finally went to exchange something the sold me as a package and they wouldn't swap out the scope rings they sold me with a scope. Granted it was six months ago but I took it out of the package today and it is impossible for them to work together. Initially was told off because it wasn't within a week of purchase. Guy said "not my rules man". In his defense he did go talk to "manager" but end result was me paying another 65 bucks for something which "should probably fit". I don't have a hoot about the 65$. But the package was pristine and would restock easily. They just pumped me for money for no reason. So I put down the 500rnds of 9mm for 200$ I was going to buy and got it for half price delivered from bulkammo while I was sitting in the parking lot. Pros of this place they have a lot of stuff and sell it efficiently. If you want to walk in buy a Glock and get out most of the time this place does okay. But if you are a real shooter they do not have the ability to cater to you without extra work. read more

I'm middle of the road on this place nice select of guns purchased a nice 9 mm against the opinion of my opinionated sales guy he was a real turn off if you are greeted by Chris walk away and wait for someone else or just leave he is just too arrogant and full of BS. George their gunsmith is awesome and this is the only reason I would ever return and so I give them 2 stars because of him otherwise I would go somewhere else in the future I am looking for a new .45 and can't decide if these are the guys to deal with. I have had several friends who have the same opinion such a nice store but one bad apple does spoil the whole bunch for us. After giving this gun store several chance and even purchasing over $5000 in firearms, accessories, and ammunition I will never shop here again. Not only do I feel as though 80% of the staff treat me, the customer and consumer, in a condescending fashion but they are not educated in current conditions of several topics discussed or in professional forms of conversation and salesmanship. While purchasing a handgun I noticed an error on my part when filling out the form in regard to my Social Security Number, one of the most important parts of this document. When bringing it to attention of the salesmen and mentioning I would fill another out and pay the extra $5 for another background check the salesperson respond as, "well it cleared so (and shrugs)." And continued to sell me my handgun. On another visit giving them a second chance as one bad apple shouldn't ruin the batch, I was fully prepared to purchase an armalite rifle with over $2000 in my pocket cash and my CWP in hand. As I discussed with the salesperson what rifle I was looking for, as I do an enormous amount of research before purchasing, I asked about two models and if they would have one of the two in stock since one was only currently available. The salesmen responded that the company has been shut down and he wasn't even sure if they will ever re-open, the company being Sig Sauer and I personally knew that the information given was almost entirely false already gave me a distrusting feeling about this salesmen. He never offered to show me a rifle or remove one from the wall while talking. Another gentlemen walks up the salesmen immediately switches attention to him asks if he can sell him a rifle points one out and offers to show it to him right away. It was textbook profiling and stereotyping. When the gentlemen customer responded that he was merely browsing the salesmen went for the hard sell anyways and continued to ignore me. I scoffed and left the building purchasing only a $14.99 box of ammo instead of spending over $2000 on a firearm and accessories to go with it. The floor manager was quick to apologies but the damage was already done. I proceeded to go to Top Gun where they not only had the right information about the same company and products but sold me my firearm in glorious fashion. I decided to go to Florida Gun Exchange today to buy ammunition, and yet again the same salesmen is working, and again I get a condescending tone and comments when I as the consumer only came in with respect and intent to purchase. I will never shop in this location again and advise against anyone even considering doing business or purchasing from them. I know it's busy, I know it's Covid and we are all tired of it, but it's your job, I do mine with pride and treat others with respect the least your employees can do is give me the same. I'm pretty sure the first mistake is a huge legal issue as anyone could give false information it seams and get away with it. When I go to purchase anything with the knowledge that I have I am met with, "Are you old enough to shoot a gun young man." Instead of a modicum of respect. And to the salesmen that said that to me as I was purchasing ammunition today at 1:10 pm, there is no age limit or restriction on operating firearms only on purchasing and owning one and since you had my information in front of you as you asked what was the point of identifying my age or making such a petty comment. Again what a glorified example of how un-intelligent they are while treating their customers poorly. Great selection with fair prices, not the best customer service. The manager Greg was great and Jamie is an excellent sales associate/gunsmith, other associates, not so much... It all comes down on how you speak to customers and helping the person out with questions. I have had more than one sales person be short, rude, or smart with replies. I was told by multiple guys that a gun was in-stock and then found out it wasn't. Not a huge deal on the account the gun wasn't in-stock, but it was how the situation was handled. Greg stepped in and treated the mix up up like a pro. At least the place has good team leads, but you shouldn't have to deal with a manager on a simple firearm transaction. My first experience buying a 9mm with Jamie was EXCELLENT, I guess it comes down to who you deal with.
