I am a reputable realtor in Sebastian Fl and am appalled at the disgusting environment of this…read morestorage facility. One of my clients were greeted by an infestation of cockroaches in their boxes. The owners seem to have no regard to their clientele. No compensation or even admitting the problem. I will spread the word to our county realtors to steer far from this facility for their homeowners protection.

I rented three 10x20 units on line and by phone while in Illinois, upon arriving in Florida and storing household items in two of the units I found third unit for my pick-up truck was too small because my truck is 19 feet long. These particular units are actually 9'3"x18'9". When I went to the office to see what my options were, the only thing they could suggest was an outdoor parking space which I accepted and went back to Illinois for two months. While in Illinois I received an email that stated the asphalt was scheduled for resealing the next morning and that all vehicles on the side needed to be moved to the other side of the lot. This was less than a 24 hour notice and I was 1100 miles away. I replied to the message and said that it couldn't be moved, I also stated that I trusted no damage would be done to my truck. I also made a follow up phone call to management. John the manager said they would just go around my truck and fill in later. When I arrived in Florida I found that they had gone around my truck. What John failed to tell me is that they would be spraying the black asphalt sealer and made no attempt to cover and protect my white truck in any way. As a result my truck was covered with black over spray. When I went to the office with the complaint, John took pictures and asked me to get an estimate to clean it off, and said they would take care of it. I brought an estimate to him after several days of trying to find a detail shop or body shop to do the work. He said he would be in touch, weeks went by with no communication, so I stopped by the office to see about progress and he told me they need two estimates, so I provided three total. Weeks went by and all communication stopped. I finally had to refer the problem to my insurance company and almost six months later my truck is being cleaned by a local body shop, no thanks to John. This manager is a complete two faced liar. He led me on by having me run all over spending my time getting estimates and then just blew the whole thing off. To anyone looking to store their Car, Truck, RV, Boat or anything else BEWARE! If damage occurs to your personal property StoreRight will not take any responsibility for it even if they're the ones who cause the damage.

In July 2025, I signed a lease with Extra Space Storage in Sebastian for a 10x10 climate-controlled…read moreunit at $76 per month. Before I even moved in, I was asked to post a Google review. I chose not to, because being friendly and keeping a facility clean are basic expectations of any storage company. If a business cannot meet those, it should not be trusted with people's most personal and irreplaceable belongings. I am posting this review now because customers deserve to know what happens after the contract is signed. Within three months, my rate was raised by nearly 100%, with only 30 days' notice. I called the company multiple times and responded through every channel available, providing clear, factual information. Each time, I received the same scripted answer, pointing to fine print instead of addressing the ethics or impact of their actions. When I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (Case #24034409), Extra Space responded that the increase was "within the law" and permitted by the lease, again avoiding any discussion of the ethics behind doubling a customer's rate in 90 days or the burden placed on people who cannot easily relocate their possessions. I understand the contract I signed. What I reject is the idea that this is a legitimate "market adjustment." It is a calculated business strategy that exploits customers during moments of transition. Most people seek storage when life is already unsettled, moving to a new city, downsizing, or navigating other stressful and costly changes. To impose extreme rate hikes knowing people do not have the means or time to move their belongings elsewhere is deeply disappointing. For most of us, storage is not about "extra stuff." It is about protecting what is important: pieces of our lives that cannot be replaced. I trusted this company to do what was right. Instead, I learned a painful lesson: integrity does not seem to matter to them.

I've had nothing but positive interactions with the staff at extra space storage, like everything…read moreelse, prices continue to rise but not out of the range of other storage facilities. I have nothing bad to say at all.
