But at almost 2 hours, when your nurse practitioner has to phone me, to find out I'm not roomed like the staff said, I'm still in the waiting room. And you're too busy to deliver the results of my really expensive blood work yourself....well, I ask you....would you come back. I will not. I gotta mention that 2 other patients and a nurse were making the same complaints in the waiting room. You can't stack appointments like this and not expect to lose patients. read more

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality Open your eyes, look up to the skies and seeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! My treatments finally payed off! My Tatas situation went brrrrrr!!!! Ima tell ya, the staff has been freaking amazing with me. 2.5 years on my back. Long journey, stressful lost hope and felt apart. But they were there throughout my whole experience. I will tell you a couple things that others have said that to me they don't really bother me but are worthy of being said to others that do not have time like i do. I had a weird experience today, but i did my best to not karate chop the "viejo verde". The experience isn't FCC fault its something that happens a-lot outside of here. I am so glad that the nurse called me in as soon as the dude started throwing his B-Game at me. But a las i have to in good continence give ya a heads up. If you have teens, good looking gals with ya? Make sure you either leave em in the car or bring em in with ya. Bro! I shut him down constantly! He wouldn't back off! I moved from where i was sitting and the fucker followed me there. To my list of bad bs? Thats the highest Bs i got on the list. Most of what people don't like and i have experience it also? All of it is due to Timing related. Non of these bother me. Cuz i plan ahead and make sure non of my other appointments are due the same day. It is hit and miss, i had days that i logged in and then wham! I went in but there will be days that you will have an appointment at? Lets say 9:00 am? And then its 10:30 and then its 11:30? Yeah those days? Are usually Monday's. I recommend like i said already, don't have another appointment or plans when u come here. This place is always full! Bring some snacks cuz the vending machine is handled by the same people responsible for the mc Donald's icecream machines. Lol i just bring my phone and watch movies in mute mode. So i don't miss the madam calling me. If you are very social? U will make nice friendships with the other patients. I seen some funny things and interactions with couples. Kinda made me miss my Grandparents passive aggressive funny banters. Outa the 2.5 years i been coming here? Like i said at the start? I only had 1 bad interaction with another patient and it was today. I don't see myself in the bombshell category of beauty but i am aware of how some guys get with me. Tall, muscular, lots of manner, kind hearted and hella aggressive. I might as well wear a bulls eyes on my ass. Lol I literally stopped going to bars cuz of it. Other fyi? Theres a tiny wait room inside. So if the blood retrieval is full? U gonna sit there and wait again. I did maybe 3 times. It has a tv and water. The nurses are great and sweetie pie types. Never had a bad one. Doctors are great also, again never had a bad one. I would recommend this place if you are in brandon, valrico area. Its way closer than moffit ( i butchered the spelling lol ) i asked before and FC works hand in hand with them. So they can transfer your case without drama over there. Or vise versa. Terrible service. Always waiting an hour or more past appointment time. They rush you out as well. They performed all sorts of tests that weren't covered by insurance as well without telling me, leaving me with a huge bill and collections. Find someplace where they care about the patient and not the bottom line. read more

The administrative side of the office is unorganized and needs a lot of work. My wife has been going there for 3 years and she gets treatments and they are scheduled 8 days apart. So you would think that the authorization for consecutive treatments would be done, no they wait till the day before and it does go through and she has to start her series of treatments all over again. We both work and have to take off to get this done and so it's not a simple task. This is the third and last we will be going through this arduous process with them. The sad thing is we love our doctor but his staff is forcing our hand. read more

The Doctor and his team are great but you always have to wait at least 30 minutes to 1 hour after you sign In, then it takes another 20 min for the Doctor to come in. They always have an excuse as to why they are late either taking your blood, giving you an infusion or seeing the Doctor. Surely whoever is in charge should take note...my time is just as valuable as theirs. Would it be ok for me to show up 15-45 minutes late to my appointment? read more

I get it , you know everyone's entitled to a bad day , and that's fine ! We're all human , however my wife and I came here for an MRI which is the second floor of the building but of course we didn't know that , so we take the first door on our right assuming this is where we had to be. When we got there we signed in because again this is where we thought we had to be but after looking around and realizing this wasn't our spot , we figured let's just ask the front desk if we're in the right spot and if not how do we get to where we have to go ? FRONT DESK WAS TERRIBLE !! I couldn't imagine having an issue as serious as cancer and having to deal with people like this ! The one lady in the front literally said " do us a favor and sit down we'll call you when we're ready " mind you this is after a series of what anyone in their right mind would call "dirty looks" , Seriously horrible front desk service and for that I have to give a review read more

I was referred to Florida Cancer Specialists because of low Iron. I arrived early for my appointment, then sat and waited. Took almost an hour after my appointment time to be called. Then had blood drawn and put in an exam room, after about 20 min a nurse practitioner came in to go over the questions I filled out on the 16 page questionnaire I filled out. She was in the room for all of 5 minutes. Waited another 20 minutes until the doctor came in. He confirmed low blood iron and set me up for infusions for the next 4 weeks. I went to checkout to pay my balance and I paid the total they told me. Came in the next week for my first treatment and had to wait 1 1/2 hours before finally getting my hour long treatment (with and appointment) at that time I asked if there was a less busy time to come and the nurse said yes and said she would change my appointments. That day took 3 hours for a one hour treatment, and when I checked out, again I paid my bill in full and they gave me my new appointments but skipped the next week and told me a nurse would call me the next day to give me my appointment time. Next day the nurse calls to say they are overbooked for the next week, and I asked about the appointment I already had, and she said it was no longer available. Next day I get an email from my insurance that a bill was processed, and it turns out that the nurse practitioner submitted a bill for over $400. I am on a high deductible plan and was not expecting this extra bill, also I had paid in full the bill presented me. I called Florida cancer specialists right away and was told no bill was showing in their system. Then yesterday I received a text message saying I owed $330. I called and after spending over an hour and several phone calls I was told they charged me incorrectly on my initial visit and that I owed the money. Don't trust these people!!! read more

Don't go here. They tried to charge me $1300 for iron infusions when my insurance said it would be $30. Then the billing person tried to pressure me into paying and having the infusion anyway. I asked them to please look up my plan again, and the billing person refused and said that I didn't know how my plan works. Then the billing person walked me to the checkout desk and told the people there that I could not afford to pay for the services. They also did a blood test, which I thought was routine. Turned out it needed pre-authorization and now I owe over $600. My insurance company has reached out to them multiple times to get an authorization, but they have never sent it in. I have called and left messages, but they are never returned. I have been on hold with them for over 30 minutes today and they hung up on me two times. Save yourself some trouble and go anywhere else. read more

I cannot say enough about this group, man are they good! These guys are running a well-oiled machine for sure. And everyone is happy and helpful, which is particularly important when going through health issues. Most of the folks "visiting" are here to get chemo, but I was in for a few iron infusion sessions. I personally had Dr Fink, who is a great doctor with an excellent bedside manner. While he's not afraid to give the tough advice, he does it in a nice way. Now that they have a brand new building (as of 11/01/15) they make an even better choice for those seeking help, especially with Cancer. read more

Dr. Bustinza is very knowledgeable and so compassionate about his work and with helping his patients. From the very moment I met with him, he made me feel comfortable and he took all the time necessary to explain my diagnosis, my treatment options, and what I could expect to experience through the whole process. Dr. Bustinza often confers with colleagues to discuss new treatment possibilities and to brainstorm for alternate procedures. He truly cares about his patients and their families. Dr. Bustinza also has exceptional medical and office staff. They are always smiling and friendly but professional and qualified. read more

The people here are awesome. There is usually a 15-20 min wait after your appointment time but the staff is wonderful. They take time to explain as they go and are super helpful through the whole process. Bring you warm blankets, offer drinks etc. if you have to go through chemo treatments which is scary then feel comforted during the process. read more

Not very patient centric. Never got a straight answer from the infusion nurses. Just got the runaround - passing the buck to someone else. Think twice before going to Brandon - not a lot of empathy. read more
