I called Maid Simple of Covington to schedule a cleaning as a belated birthday gift and as a support to him, since the passing of his wife. I indicated the need for a "deep clean", as his wife had been very ill and was unable to manage their home. Plus they have a young child and their two cats constantly make a mess of the place. Jennesse arrived early the next morning. She was absolutely delightful. Her presence was warm and loving - like family. She courageously dove right in. Because her assistant had a dental appointment that day, she had to work alone. So it took a few hours longer than anticipated. But Jennesse was determined to create the sanitary home environment she came to provide. She was very thorough and worked tirelessly to bring my son's apartment to where it needed to be. Jennesse actually 'loves to clean' and it gives her immense satisfaction to see the finished product. She genuinely cares and gauges her work according to what she would expect for herself. I made a note of his company's name and then managed to lose it. Fast forward to the present, when my wife and I decided we finally needed to repair or replace our beautiful berber carpet that had just gotten too worn and stained. I started to look for the man, reading websites for signs of the same knowledge and commitment. I found a website that sounded like him and it turned out to be the right man, Michael Dempsey of Expert Carpet and Floor Repairs of Covington, Dawsonville and Norcross. He repairs and installs carpets with his two sons, and they are just the finest people you can imagine. He advised me not to replace the berber with the same type, because another "closed-loop" type was much more tear and stain resistant. I've used Home Depot and a couple of other larger outfits in the past, and comparing Mr. Dempsey's estimate to a similar grade from Home Depot, his quoted price was about $500 more. I accepted his offer because he again impressed me with his commitment to provide the best service and installation experience possible. With Home Depot installers, you're never quite sure what you'll get, and this was a big job in our home, so I wanted it done right. Mr. Dempsey and his sons did a fantastic job. They were very meticulous in cleaning the slab even before laying the padding. I've never seen another installer do that, but Mr. Dempsey explained why it matters. They also were just wonderful about moving the big furniture and doing so with the utmost care. My wife has an office with a huge wooden desk. I assembled myself in place and wasn't sure we could get it out without taking it apart again. Mr. Dempsey's sons handled it easily and without the slightest scratch. I'm always glad to give 5 stars when it's deserved. The job Mr. Dempsey and his sons did deserves 10 stars on the scale of 5.
