Each time I shot with her, she has great ideas of what to do with the location we're in, and she is gifted in understanding composition, lighting, and editing. It's so much fun running around the locations we go to and discovering new spots to pose at (we have shot at something of a combination of a school and a church, and a carousel). I would say her style is ethereal, soft, and almost other-worldly. Her photos look as though they have been sprinkled in fairy dust, and everyone is instantly beautified, but still look like themselves! Not only is she a great photographer, she's a wonderful wardrobe stylist as well. For instance, at our carousel shoot, she brought a bag of clothing, and we chose a mad hatter dress and she stapled giant, poofy magenta tulle to it to make the skirt look fuller and puffier. The photos feel natural and not posed at all, because she magically led the kids into being their sweet selves. I'm a photographer myself, and I take lots of photos of my grans.
