He stopped by one of the vet offices but was basically brushed off by the staff who seemed uninterested. I called multiple veterinary practices in Florence but was told they were booked or asked if we planned to assume financial responsibility. We did not want to watch this little kitten suffer. Florence Animal Hospital was so kind and compassionate from the time the receptionist answered the phone until we left their office. We were able to take the kitten in immediately for assessment and it ended up needing euthanasia. Although it was not a pleasant experience, Florence Animal Hospital, made it peaceful. For that, we are truly grateful!

Not sure saying Thank you is enough for the kindness the entire staff here showed us during such a…read moredifficult time. we were traveling from New York when our 14yr old black lab had what seem to be a stroke at the Buc-ees near by. they came out to our truck and immediately started to treat him. unfortunately we had to say goodbye to Drake, to say we are devastated and completely heartbroken is an understatement. the kindness, patience and even tears that they shared with us just shows the love the staff here has for the animals they treat. We will be eternally grateful. They even took paw prints, nose prints and a few locks of hair, not thinking clearly when this was all happening we called the next morning asking if they were possible to get? We were told they were already done understanding that families going thru this kind of loss aren't thinking about those things till a bit of reality sinks in. She said she will put notes on my chart and file NO MUZZLE, but how does that help the next pet???? Will they really have a meeting about pet care and situational customer awareness????

I just moved to Florence last year from Charleston so maybe I need to lower my expectations…read more I've tried 3 grooming salons since I moved here and so far they are all sub-par in my opinion. I thought Bark Avenue was going to be different, because the first groom we had was wonderful, but so far they are inconsistent. The times I get a full groom done on my labradoodles they're usually done very well. Then I get a maintenance groom and it's like they get a bath but no more; even though I specifically ask for feet, face, ears and hygiene areas done. Today I returned from picking them up and my one dog's ears are full of mats. She has long hair on her ears, and the mats are very visible on the ends. I called and the groomer said she "didn't see any mats..." Well, she's very young and I'm pretty old, and not wearing my glasses and I can see them. The attitude of the younger lady there seems to be indifference . She never smiles, or greets the dogs. She just seems like she hates working there tbh. I'm sure that is not what the owner of Bark Avenue wants in an employee. I hate leaving bad reviews but I guess I'm still on the search for a decent groomer in Florence.

He came back with a $680 dollar charge (!!!) to my credit card which included all kinds of vaccines NONE OF WHICH he needed. My pup had been a client of Westside/ Dr Hewitt for many many years and had all his shots up to date. Unfortunately for me, The Hewitts retired and I have not been able to find a similar quality- value veterinarian in Florence so far. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

She can be quite a handful when it comes to getting a bath, cut, and nail trim. The staff was super pleasant and very understanding when I brought in prescription shampoo. They also tried their best with Mocha's nails but still respected her space. Mocha came home happy and pleased, and that means the world to me when we have to find a new groomer. 10/10 recommend and will be back!

They let you up front what they believe your pet can, and in some cases - can not, accomplish. But it's up to you to be upfront and honest with them what you want to achieve. Their board and train option is excellent. Well, excellent if you're okay with your dog being outside during the boarding time. I will say, I appreciated the fact they took the time to bath our dogs before we picked our dogs up from Thanksgiving vacation. I triple recommend these dog trainers.
