One of the first places me and my gfs reserved when we decided to book our trip to Cabo. We booked a tamales and guac "cooking" class and there's a reason why I put it in quotes because pretty much everything is kind of already prepared for you. Magical place off the beaten path in San Jose del Cabo. It's like a little art community that also has private residences and some bed and breakfast places. There are rescue dogs that are seen napping through out the property. A big pond with lots of turtles sunbathing. On to the food. This is a fairly pricy fancy place and the food and beverages reflect that. Your best bet to not break the bank is to make a reservation for brunch. Fairly inexpensive and tasty. The bloody mary's I have heard are wonderful but completely different than the typical drink people are used to. There isa gift shop and a small market here where you can buy produce grown on the farm. Also they have a cottage that has wine tasting. Very worth the trip the next time you are in cabo. And after visiting here go next door to Acre and check out the tree houses and the dog rescue. read more

This was the highlight for our cruise to Cabo. And it did not disappoint! Everything we ate and drank from the farm. The bloody Maria had beets, beans, chicharones, my wife's margarita was very tasty. The food OMG! The beet salad and burrata were fiercely good! The Caesar salad was the bests I've ever had! Our party ordered the sopprasatta pizza and the arugula pizza and the wood fired pizza oven was unreal. Thin crust, fresh ingredients and arguably one of the best pies I've tasted. Ethereal, magical and special - I don't know how else to describe this most amazing place. It is off the beaten path and worth the drive if you are staying in Cabo - don't let the dirt path road deter you. It is a market, bar, restaurant, venue with beautifully meandering grounds, wild flowers, shops, a coffee station and ice cream cart. It is a place where every little corner has something to awaken all 5 senses. The Burrata starter was clean, fresh, decadent and we could have easily eaten a second portion. The drinks were not only gorgeous to look at but tasty. The star of the entrees was definitely the pork chop which comes in three sizes. My daughter ordered the small and that portion could have fed 2 - 3 adults. The favorite dessert was the strawberry pop tart, just the amount of sweetness. To be honest, we almost canceled our reservation. The only seating we were able to get was at 9pm. I have two children and this is way past their regular meal time. But, we decided to persevere and I'm so glad we did. The property is absolutely beautiful, even at night. The space has a vibrant energy that is palpable. We had a seat on the patio which was like sitting in a friend's garden. The food was fresh and delicious. My son had the bacon and tomato pizza and lemme tell you, this is quite possibly the best bacon I've ever had!!!! I had the pappardelle with pork. I tasted notes of lemon and thyme. I'm planning to recreate a vegetarian version this summer. The cocktails and desserts had equally as much attention to detail. Our server Francisco was attentive and friendly. My only disappointment is that I would love to experience this place in daylight. I guess we'll just have to plan another trip. read more

We had the best experience after a weather delay for our cooking class at the Flora Farm Bar. Aslan was our bartender and made sure that our delay felt like something good instead of something inconvenient. He was attentive, hilarious and provided amazing service. Flora's Farm was absolutely magical. I would recommend it to anyone. The drive was long and a bit bumpy but totally worth it. You definitely want to get reservations because the restaurant is always hopping. The food was incredible. I tried the burrata appetizer, a pizza, the pork chops and the fried chicken and it was also incredible. The grounds are gorgeous, full of edible plants, ponds, etc. I would definitely go before sunset to check them out. The stores are all unique, we were especially impressed by the organic facial soaps. Apparently stars come from all over for their black soap bar. This experience was a highlight of our Cabo trip and I would recommend it to anyone who appreciates attention to detail, great food and beautiful gardens. read more

We took a cooking class . It was great . The instructors were clear in their communication and very helpful. We made tamales, salsa, and guacamole from scratch. The location is very beautiful. We were excited to try this place because of the great reviews, however we were terribly disappointed. Their site prompted us to use a credit card to hold the reservation, and we just didn't feel comfortable doing so in Mexico. We showed up and were ok with waiting for a bit but after but our patience stopped after an hour and a half. We spoke to the host but she kept telling us to wait and when we finally said we were leaving- miraculously a table opened. No Thanks- they got $80 on 4 drinks from us and that was all we were going to give them. So unless you have a reservation- don't bother. read more

SO much hype! We arrived early to walk around the shops before our 4:30 scheduled 'tour' of the farm. Most of the shops featured local artisans products and were fairly expensive, even by US standards. The young lady who led the 'tour' motioned in various directions behind where we stood and talked about what was beyond what we were able to actually see, and how the space could be rented out for various occasions (areas are well protected by fences to prevent trespassing). When I asked about a particular bush with beautiful bright flowers, she didn't know what it was. I mean, if you're going to offer a 'farm tour', at least take the time to train/teach people what is right under their noses. The 'tour' was basically telling people how you could rent space. Absolutely worth the hype! Flora's Farm is a wonderful escape from the all-inclusive resort life in Cabo. Don't get me wrong, I love lying by the beach with a frozen drink in-hand, knowing that there's nachos and a buffet waiting for me later. However, after a few days of whaling about the same place, a change of scenery was most welcome. Yes, the trek out to Flora's Farm is kinda sorta questionable. It's a bumpy dirt road that leads you to this hidden gem, but once you're there, it's worth it! The drop off area looks pretty sparse, just a couple of shops and a wine bar... but hey, you had me at wine bar. Once you step into the internal courtyard, it's an oasis! Market, shops, bar/restaurant... where there's gorgeous cocktails to be enjoyed. It was Sunday brunch time but we did not have the infamous Bloody Mary. Instead, it was mezcal margaritas and Baja wine. That and a few wood fired oven pizzas to share with our group of five. Two hours flies by when you're having a blast and before we knew it, the Farm was closing and we had to go back to our resort. However, I will definitely be back and bringing my parents, who spend a good amount of time in Cabo san Lucas. They will love it as much as I did! read more

Special touches along the way like a happy anniversary sign on our table. Craft cocktails were tasty. Big fans to keep the air moving. Nice band that started at 7pm. (Not Mariachis.) You can get a glass of wine and walk around to view the gardens and speciality shops. I found a tote bag I couldn't find anywhere else that is a special find. Hands down our favorite place we visited while on vacation in Cabo!! We got to Flora's Farm early, we walked through the shops and stopped for a glass of wine in the coffee and wine shop- hint hint, go downstairs in the cute little wine cellar there! We went to the bar and had drinks that were so amazing, we each ended up having three drinks, and didn't switch it up because the first ones we ordered were so good!! I had the farm garden drink- it was quite exceptional with the mint! A man next to us ordered a dirty martini with stuffed olives, which the bartender stuffed by hand! There was live music, a nice, CUTE and romantic ambiance throughout. The staff were all so nice and went out of their way to please you in any way, such as when we took a selfie at the bar, the bartender offered to take a picture for us! I could go on and on, but we will most definitely go back! This is a MUST if in Cabo!! read more

My partner and I have been looking forward to visiting Flora Farms in San Jose all week, but after visiting The Market here in Los Cabos, we are making reservations at Acre instead. As a chef and restaurant owner in the Bay Area, I am dedicated to supporting local/sustainable/organic food establishments. You might imagine how disappointed I was to have the host of The Market laugh at myself and my wife as we explained we had been lead to believe we would not need a reservation for Flora Farms. While laughing, he went on to explain "everyone knows you need a reservation", he chuckled again in a pretentious and dismissive way "we have been written up in vogue magazine...etc..." I'm sorry, but it doesn't get much worse. A small man, in a small town, who believes insulting potential guest by expressing his elite concept of himself is Not what I consider acceptable hospitality, and is not something I have a desire to support -- I can get artisanal cocktails on any corner of SF or Oakland. read more

The pizzas are amazing and easy to share so you can have a bit of everything. Red snapper and grits was my favorite! Flavored and cooked to perfection. The pesto risotto was great and so fresh tasting! The Raviolis are handmade and a delicious light sauce. Arugula pizza is my favorite, salty and savory. The ham and egg is great if you Dinner for breakfast...and the sausage pizza was tasty as well. We love to get a bunch of items and share family style. They have too many options to just choose one! Unique place hidden in the hills beyond SJDC. Somehow the location seems to be much cooler than the coast a half mile away. We came for drinks and apps only, and despite a packed bar and restaurant we were seated immediately in the courtyard. Great service, creative drinks (if a little weak), great food. It was around 8pm and instead of hitting the hay, we all climbed into the truck to go find Fora Farms, no reservation, in the dark | which is an adventure in itself as we had no cell phones. We parked the car near the ultra cool shops, hopped out, no one was around but we heard faint music in the distance. It was kind of magical. Of course we followed the music and popped into the stores along the way. There were unique boutiques, apothecary, art, Japanese & Mexican designed menswear, espresso, wine bar & homemade ice cream to die for and amazing grounds and creative architecture. We finally made it to the bar which lies next to the well designed restaurant and found seats near the music. Great band, playing at little jack, talking heads and some cure. They have music every night. They do a fantastic classic martini, if you want to skip out on the fruity cocktails. Sadly, they do not serve food at the bar, so if you want a snack hit up the little bakery/farm market which sits in side the restaurant, tucked around the left corner. They sell bread, cupcakes, banana cream pie, produce, pickled stuffs and meats. They do a great job here and it seems Acre & Tamarindo near by do it up well too. read more
