The blonde at the front counter was super friendly. That's where the good service ended. I shopped every floor store in the area, trying to decide on the new floors for 2,000sf first floor. The nice blonde lady showed me to the area where the type of floor I wanted was located, and offered my toddler a coloring book. I pulled out several samples I liked. I asked about prices, and she went to get a sales person.
Here's where the fun ends. He would not give me a price for a single floor. I understand installs vary, and prices are an estimate, but he refused to even give me a ballpark price until after he measured. (Every other store in town quoted me an estimated price per square foot).
To top it off, he walked away after telling me that. Did he offer to schedule a measurement? Nope. Just went back to his office.
What I giant waste of time. Flooring prices run the range from affordable to decadent. I needed something in the middle. But heck if I know if floorworks carries it. Was it $12 psf? $25psf? I'll never know.
The next day I went back and ordered my floor from someone else.
Ironically, there was a floor at floorworks that I liked better than every other floor I had seen. If it had been in my price range, I would have bought that floor. It was unique. read more
