ISR- Infant swim resource…read more PSA: We have had an awful experience and hopefully this helps other parents looking at this as an option for their kid(s). We scheduled with TANYA CAREW out of the Cumming Aquatic Center. Our child had 9 lessons before Tanya stopped showing up. On what was supposed to be day 10, she sent 6 kids home because the capillary refill at the heel was too slow meaning they were too cold and couldn't stay in the pool. The next day she text after our child's lesson was supposed to have started and said she was cancelling lessons because "they are having lessons today". Odd, as I know there are supposed to be lessons... my kid has one scheduled. She is double booking her time. I asked about make up lessons. No response. The very next day she no call no showed. Parents & their kids were showing up all morning and being told no one had seen the instructor. The next day of lessons, a text came in mid-morning saying she wasn't feeling well. At this point we are just getting scammed. ISR has been contacted and we requested a refund but each instructor is an independent contractor so their hands are tied. They can't do anything. TANYA CAREW finally answered us 5 days later saying ISR has a strict no refund policy and she wouldn't be refunding us. She again gave no options for rescheduling, making up lessons missed or refunding us for the time our child wasn't in the pool. She referred us to a different instructor and stated she wouldn't be paying her either so we would have to fork out another $1,000 to get our child started with them. I have heard positive feedback from other co workers and parents who put their children through ISR in Buckhead but I would steer very clear of Tanya and Cumming.

We plan to have future events here again, so that's the best endorsement I can give. My only suggestion is to book the room for at least two hours minimum, especially if you plan to decorate. We had one hour in the room thinking we could still use it during the two hours "skate time" but that isn't how it works. The staff helped us keep track of our guests' shoes and skates so it wasn't an issue, but the adults may have appreciated more time to eat in the room. They just moved our food to their concession area and even kept the cold stuff refrigerated so that was convenient. Doug, one of the managers, was especially helpful.

The camp is from 9-3 and is a fun filled day of different gymnastics (before and after care is as early as 730 and late at 6pm and is FREE!!!). For my daughter, this was an excellent introduction to the sport and we are hopeful to continue in the fall with weekly sessions. Room for improvement: Lack of communication. I was told I would receive an email prior to the start of camp with specifics for the week and I never did. I was able to find all of the information needed from the website (which is very helpful and has easy class sign up). Also, I was a little uncomfortable with the lack of sign in and sign out. My husband dropped my daughter off, therefore they did to know me and didn't say anything as I packed my daughter's things and we quickly exited the building. I did come during the transition from camp to after care, but that is more reason to have eyes on children to ensure they leave with the appropriate people. I go to GWINNETT swim for water aerobics 2 to 3 times a week. Good instructors good exercise. Even…read morethough the facility is older it's always seemed very clean. They're very good about monitoring the cleanliness of the water and have closed down if there was any contamination. It's easy to check in and lots of options every day for either swimming laps or doing a class. All the instructors are pleasant and work with any type of limitations.

Have come here for a few weeks now and can already see the improvement of my son's swimming technique and confidence. Today it was just the sheriff's election and the county commissioners and some unopposed offices, no big issues to decide. Pretty smooth. Its a nice park and the restaurants are good there, Blu Fin, 7 Tequilas, Pepperonis, and that coffee place, so good. Plus the library across the street. If they had an Aldi's there it would be perfect (Kroger was gonna build next to Midway, but the locals shot it down, so now their going to Bethelview and Castleberry across from Publix. Yikes!
