They came by 10am, no one answered the door at my moms house and rather than leave the bouquets on the step they left a tag on the doorknob stating they had been to the house but provided zero instructions as to how to get the flowers, whether we were to pick it up, call to schedule another delivery or were they going to come back at a later date??? No idea. Finally after three phone calls, two voicemails telling them to leave them on the porch if no one answered, and one email, I received a call asking if someone was going to be home in 30 mins. We said yes and the delivery guy showed up with a teeny tiny version of one of the bouquets I paid for and no second bouquet. I asked him about the second. He had no idea what I was talking about. I said i ordered a large bouquet of roses as well, 2 total. He said ok, I'll go and ask the florist and get back to you. At least an hour and a half later the delivery guy returns with a shitty little bouquet that had three roses, a ton of leafy fill (not in the description of the bouquet that I ordered) and several cheep filler flowers that look like they came from the independent grocer. I told him that wasn't what I ordered and again repeated that I'd ordered a large bouquet of mostly roses, red and orange, no foliage, just flowers in a beautiful round arrangement. He said he would go back and have the florist call me. I haven't heard from her yet, and thought about waiting but am so frustrated with this experience, especially given the fact that I've worked for a florist and know what a beautiful quality bouquet looks like. What really struck me was that most people, especially in these strange covid days will not be around to see the flowers they've ordered for their loved ones. So my question is how many people have been shafted with a cheep arrangement and don't know it. I'm grateful to have been here to contest these orders. A florist should know exactly what inventory they have and whether or not they can fulfill an order and if they can't, they should notify the customer. Not worth the effort.
