I've stayed in Pornic loads of time, but this was the first time I'd stayed in complex…read moreaccommodation like this. Its a cluster of apartments and little houses right on the gold course. I'm not a golfer so I was more impressed by other things. Its about 15 minutes walk to the beach, about 5 minutes walk to a supermarket and about 20 minutes walk to the town centre. We were in one of the houses,but we were surprised at how much privacy we got from our little patio and garden. There's a pool in the complex which is also nicely planned and isn't really overlooked. My only complaint would be the excessive gardening which seems to go on on Mondays which lead me to ponder how one could spend an hour mowing one small lawn! It disturbed my napping!

I've been getting houses in Pornic and the surrounding area from Christelle at Agence des Flots for…read moreabout 6 years now. She's really fantastic and always get us these lovely houses. There's a variety of houses based on size, closeness to the sea/town etc - Christelle always gives us great direction when we tell her what we're looking for and how many people are coming with us. This year she notified us of a cancellation of a rather special house - it was so close to the sea, comfortable and full of character. She's also a really good person to know in the place as she's excellent at sorting out any problems - we had a slight travel hiccup this time and she helped us sort it out, which was certainly beyond her remit. Can't say enough good things!
