I'm not a golfer so I was more impressed by other things. Its about 15 minutes walk to the beach, about 5 minutes walk to a supermarket and about 20 minutes walk to the town centre. We were in one of the houses, but we were surprised at how much privacy we got from our little patio and garden. There's a pool in the complex which is also nicely planned and isn't really overlooked. My only complaint would be the excessive gardening which seems to go on on Mondays which lead me to ponder how one could spend an hour mowing one small lawn! It disturbed my napping!

We have stayed at all sorts of high end hotels over the years and Le Royal now ranks in our top 3. First and foremost, the service is stellar! The staff is very good and they anticipate all your needs. They are very proactive and will go beyond the call of duty to help on any topic. Second, the hotel and its grounds are gorgeous. Classic historical premises, incredible location by the beach front, expansive and flowery beautiful grounds... Last but not least, the food is succulent. They have two restaurants- Le Fouquet's and Le Ponton, which is on the beach. The breakfast buffet is one of the very best we have seen in terms of variety and quality. We will be back!

We were only here for one night but the location was perfect, close to the trainstation but far enough away that there was no noise, close to the park (which also had a petting zoo, defo worth a visit). All round I'd recommend it, especially having discussed how other people's hotels were that weekend (we were there the night before a festival). Would defo go back to it!

We stayed in a suite with our daughter and it was luxurious--amazing bathtub!--and provided privacy for all of us. Lovely details in furnishings made for a wonderful stay.
