They would already have earned my love with the meat vending machine out in front, but then we went in to order and the food was freaking amazing. The very nice young woman behind the counter repeated herself many times in concession to my garbage German and was overall super polite and helpful.
I got a salad, and by "a salad," I mean a plate that had a sample of every salad, most of which were drizzled in the pumpkin seed oil that is a key component of Styrian cuisine. The main dish, though. Oh, the main dish. It was Leberkäse with potatoes, with portions large enough to satisfy even the heartiest of appetites.
My one regret about the shortness of my stay in Graz was that I did not have the opportunity to eat here more often.
