Amazing People, Amazing Care!…read more I highly recommend The Dog Club. Every employee there is dedicated and passionate about our furry babies and their responsibility to care for them. We were passing through town and needed doggie day care for one day. Susanne, the owner, and her staff were incredibly attentive, accommodating, professional, and most importantly made our furry baby, Karma (an 85 pound 3-year old Airedale) their priority. Karma's meet-and-greet was done with utmost care and concern for not only Karma but all the other canine's being cared for that day. Our plans changed and they were very flexible, even offered to pick up Karma in the morning for a small fee that was very reasonable. Even though the meet/greet went well I was a bit nervous leaving her. When I called in later that morning, the staff gave me a thorough update on her status. I appreciated the straightforward honesty of which karma was doing OK it just took her a while to settle in. The staff said they were working with her to find the most appropriate dogs for her to play with and did some puzzles with her to get her to relax. When we picked Karma up in the afternoon she was very happy.

**Extremely Disappointed and Concerned About Safety Practices**…read more I had taken my 9-month-old Rottweiler to The Dog Club for several months, trusting that he was in a safe and professionally managed environment. Unfortunately, I later learned that the owner had knowingly allowed a highly reactive--borderline aggressive--Sheltie to interact with the general dog population for over two years. I first became aware of this dog's unstable behavior during a Saturday class led by one of the trainers, and I had hoped the situation was being responsibly managed. It was not. Eventually, I received a call notifying me that my pup had been involved in an "altercation." What actually happened was far more serious. The aggressive Sheltie had lunged at another dog, rebounded into my Rottie, and when my dog tried to set a boundary, the Sheltie escalated. My dog was left traumatized and had visible scabs on his neck after the encounter. As is often the case, the larger dog was unfairly blamed. The fact that this Sheltie had a long history of reactivity--and was still being allowed to roam freely among other dogs--is completely unacceptable. Using the general dog population as a "buffer" for this Sheltie's behavior was reckless and dangerous. Most reputable daycares would never allow this dog to remain in group settings, let alone for two years. To make matters worse, when I met with the owner to express my concerns, she took absolutely no accountability. Her proposed "solution" was to isolate my Rottie behind a gated area where he could watch other dogs play, while staff would spend one hour a day with him--an arrangement she admitted was also being used for the Sheltie. In other words, my well-adjusted, social dog was being punished for defending himself against an unstable dog who should never have been in group play in the first place. The Dog Club failed my dog, and I would strongly caution other dog owners--especially those with large breeds--to think twice before trusting this facility with their pets' well-being. The owner herself even stated that her staff cannot handle my Rottie as he is "too Strong". That should probably be put in her advertisement then!

My dog went in for a simple booster for a DHPP booster, and for some reason, they said the actual vet had to give the shot, not a tech. Took him in at he appointed time and ended up having to wait 55 minutes!!! in the exam room. No one came in to say sorry for the wait, nothing. I understand that there may have been a sick puppy, but it is just common deceny and respect to let your client and patient know what is going on. When we left, the waiting room was like a crazy house, dogs everywhere. I'm astounded that veterinarians (especially a new facility) don't have bigger, better waiting rooms. I'm done!

The vet I have seen there is on the super cautious side which means usually more tests resulting in more money. The vet wouldn't fix my dog because I told her my dog was the only dog to live from her litter due to kidney issues. She suggested I go to Washington vet school to have her fixed. (I live in the country and feared my bitch would get attacked by wild animals while in heat.) I called Washington and they wanted $2000.00 dollars to fix my dog, so I found another vet in the area that did the procedure and my dog was fine. (For $189.00) so like I said super cautious. I have found for shots and simple medical procedures the clinic is fine. They do seem to be more pricy then the other vet I went to but the other vet is another 20 minutes away. They do free toe nail trim on dogs which is a plus and the place is clean.

The vet tech was unprofessional and gave no explanation about what was happening. Our dog was dragged to the back and returned with scratches on his face.
