Giovanni is the top of the line, gold-standard for wedding photographers. Not only are his photographs visually stunning but he is one of the most professional, organized and detailed people I've ever worked with. We had our wedding in Boston, and my husband and I planned the wedding by ourselves without meeting any of our wedding vendors in person before the day of the wedding. I'm a busy person who worked late during the months leading up to the wedding and didn't really know how to plan a wedding, and to be honest, I slacked off on the wedding planning a lot. However, Giovanni checked in with us to schedule our calls, go through our itinerary together and kept us on track. He gave us advice for how we should allocate our time and asked us questions about wedding issues that never even crossed our minds. After speaking with him, we had worked out all of the nuances of the day and were basically ready to just get married. I cannot stress how important it is to work with a photographer who knows what he's doing and does his work efficiently. When people say that the day of the wedding goes by fast, IT DOES. We felt like we actually cut a lot of traditional events out of our wedding, but there was a lot that we had to do during the day, and we didn't think we could have fit everything in if we didn't have Giovanni's sharp eye for the shot he wanted to get and his calm, firm guidance. We did not feel rushed or stressed at all while taking photos. Lastly, regarding the photos - It was super important to us to have photos that really reflected who we are as a couple and the mood of our wedding (chill, fun party, rather than a very formal event), and he nailed it. The reception photos are absolutely our favorite - He captured our friends' awesome, fun personalities on the dance floor (and disguised how drunk we all were). We laughed so much when we first got our photos, and we'll be able to look back on this awesome night for the rest of our lives. On another note, after we signed our contract with Giovanni the year before the wedding, we became Facebook friends with him and started following each other on Instagram, and it was actually quite nice to get to know our photographer over the course of the year leading up to the wedding. He got to see what we're like as people outside of the wedding planning process and we got to know him as this awesome, good-hearted dude who really cares about his work, his clients and his family. Especially because we never got to meet him until a year later, by the time we met him on our wedding day, we didn't feel like he was a stranger at all and it actually put a very human element into our working relationship. I used to think that contracting with a wedding photographer was just about the visual look of the photos, but after going through our own wedding, I've realized that working with the right photographer informs actually a huge part of the wedding process - You'll want to work with someone whose experience will help you map out the itinerary for your wedding, who can get the shots quickly and without putting additional stress on the day and who has an eye for the visuals. I first met Giovanni after I got engaged back in December. He was recommended from Lake Pearl in Wrentham where my fiancee Alex & I are getting married. I emailed Giovanni & got a fast response. Giovanni has never photographed there, so he showed up two hours before our scheduled session, exploring the walking trail & finding the best spots! When we started photographing, he explained to Alex & I different poses & techniques. He hyped Alex & I up and made us both feel so confident for our photoshoot!!! What I LOVE about Giovanni is he is pet friendly!! He was super patient with our hyper, golden retriever, fur baby,Howie. He photographed priceless pictures with Howie, Alex & I that we will treasure forever!!! It ended up being a hot/sunny day & Alex was sweating. Giovanni wanted to make sure the photos came out amazing - so he let Alex blot his forehead on his shirt because we didn't have a towel. Also we got our engagement pics back the same day they were taken!!! That was amazing on Giovannis part because we were so eager too see them! Whats not too love about Giovanni? He is a gentlemen, friendly, outgoing & confident in his work! He will seriously go out of his way to accommodate you!!! His work is truly amazing & one of a kind. Update 4/17/2018:Givoanni is always a pleasure to work with. I stumbled upon his work through a Google search last year and it changed everything. I compete in pageants and need new headshots every competition season. The headshot he took helped me place in the top 6 fan favorite competition and quickly became a favorite photo among my family and friends. I didn't think it was possible to like a photo more then I liked that headshot, until I saw the photos from our shoot last Thursday. To say I love the finished product would be an understatement! During the Giovanni artfully placed and focused each light individually during our session to make sure to make sure I looked my best (lighting can make or break a photo!). He explained every step of the process, even the little things, so that I fully understood what was happening. He also made me feel super comfortable, like I was shooting with an old friend even though we had only worked to together once prior to the session. I never felt rushed or like I was just another client, because he tailored our photo shoot to fit my needs and worked hard to help me get an image that I loved. At the end of the day the quality of the photos is what I came for, but what I will come back for is his outstanding customer service and top notch photography skills. Original Review April 2017: I was in desperate need of a photographer to take headshots for an upcoming pageant. I found Giovanni through Google and sent him an email expecting him to respond in a few days; I heard back from him that same afternoon. He was able to squeeze me in a week later which was a relief because I was on a serious time crunch. Giovanni was amazing to work with! He explained every step of the process and really guided me through taking a great photo. I was able to see all of the photos we took on a giant screen and narrow down my selection to my top 3 photos. He even let me watch as he made minor edits to them such as adjusting the color and fixing the puffiness under my eyes. By the time I left the studio I had already been emailed my final images. The enviorment in the studio was very relaxed and I felt super comfortable with Giovanni. I can't say enough about how awesome the Boston Studio Rentals experience is/was. I happened to find the venue via a general Google search and I am so glad I did. My original venue for my daughter's 11th Karaoke Bash fell through last minute and from the moment I reached out to Giovanni, my nerves were at ease. His willingness to take calls and answer every question/concern/or crazy idea I had to make this party the very best my daughter could have hoped for was priceless. The venue is incredibly clean and when they refer to it as a blank canvas, truer words haven't been spoken. I happened to take my walk through a week prior to my event taking place and I was greeted by the smell of a freshly cleaned establishment. That may not mean much to many, but it's incredibly reassuring to know that deep cleans happen in these venues, especially in a "post-covid" world. We rented the Medium room and had about 35-40 attendees in there with no issues. We had about twenty 11-12 year olds in there singing and dancing their heads off and there was still ample room for our set-up. The sound system in the room is out of this world, you can't help feel like you are in a stadium with the quality. The lighting set just the right ambiance. We were going for the upscale Karaoke Lounge Vibe and because of the versatility of the space, it exceed our expectations and that of our guests. Another noteworthy point, is that the venue houses multiple rooms that can be used at the same time. I know our party was loud, by mere virtue of it being a karaoke party, but when we left the room, you couldn't really hear it. I certainly couldn't hear the other party happening down the hall, either. Overall, if you are looking for a clean, modern, inviting space with incredible management, cocktail tables and 8-top dinner tables, linens, and a reasonable rental contract (6 hours) look no further. Boston Studio Rentals has everything you need and more. This is exactly what our communities need. Affordable venues with flexible rental contracts so planning an event doesn't cost you more than necessary and over complicate things. This review is long over due because my boudoir photos were a gift to my boyfriend. First, I'm not one to go this far out of my comfort zone for just anyone. I had even gone shopping specifically for this and needed inspiration because I had no clue how the process worked. I contacted Giovanni about doing a boudoir shoot for my boyfriend and he responded right away. He was incredibly helpful and accommodating to my wishes for the shoot! I didn't have a place to get the photos done and Giovanni said his new studio is under construction. He suggested that we find a luxury hotel. After looking at many different hotels, the price began to get high quickly. Once I told him that, he suggested that we use a local high-end apartment downtown Boston. The place was perfect; we were right across the street from the Boston Commons. I had ten favorites and helped me choose the best one which had many different photo opportunities. I was so nervous the day of my photo shoot and once I arrived to the apartment / studio, Giovanni was there with the makeup artist. They both greeted me and once we started to chat I began to feel comfortable. It was as if we were old friends hanging out. My makeup and hair were awesome; she really listened to me and nailed the look I wanted. Giovanni and I went through all of my outfit choices together. I took my boyfriend's dress shirt to wear in one of the looks, which Giovanni totally encouraged me to do it. I can't even express how professional and comfortable my session was. At the end of the photo session I felt like this would be something I'd do again as long as Giovanni is the photographer. He gave me great directions on posing and you definitely gain that, "confident super woman attitude" as you go. I was extremely happy with my proofs, which made it very hard to choose. Thank god I had a couple of good friends look through them and narrow down the 30 pictures for his book. My boyfriend loved his present and soon we will get the other pictures I didn't purchase. My wife and I found Giovanni the Photographer on Yelp and loved what we saw on his website. After meeting with him and giving us a very fair rate, we hired him for our Wedding day. Giovanni was our Photographer and Diana was his assistant for our special day. He wore 2 cameras and was extremely kind and patient. He made us as comfortable as possible. We had an outdoor garden reception so the sun was blazing that day, but he was able to capture awesome moments for us. They are both extremely talented and have a great eye for photography. Giovanni's equipment is top notch and he even brought a drone! He got some awesome overhead shots of the garden while it was sunset (golden time). We did 3 photo sessions that day. 1st was before the guests arrived with my wife and myself, along with family portraits the followed which was not easy! But we got through it and the team was more than helpful to finish it. 2nd was after our introductions and vows which was before sunset, Diana noticed the sun and immediately grabbed us to make sure we don't miss the moment. The shots were stunning. 3rd session was after dinner and it was night time. The team setup some lights and we had an evening photo session. We loved all our shots. They take about 14 days to process all the photos. We got about 1800 photos all print ready along with an album, wall art and prints. The photos were beautiful. We had one note to add, and the team was able to address our note with no problem. It's not easy to change an edit but he did it very professionally. Giovanni also sent us the raw photos and footage as well. Giovanni The Photographer is extremely professional and his work is top notch. We referred him to my friends wedding as well. Giovanni the photographer was my absolute favorite vendor at our wedding. I cannot recommend him more highly for any event in your life that could use a photographer. We knew as soon as we saw Giovanni's portfolio that he was the one for us. Giovanni's style is very natural, all of his lighting is perfect, and he captures those spontaneous little moments that can be hard to capture. We had noticed some photographers who were amazing at natural photos weren't great with posed, but Giovanni is great at both. Besides his talent at getting the perfect shots, Giovanni has a way of making everyone around him feel comfortable. He's just so down to earth and fun. You really need that in order to let loose and have fun during a photo shoot, especially if you're typically camera shy. From our engagement pictures, to our wedding, we always felt extremely relaxed and comfortable around Giovanni. If ever we didn't look great, his assistant very kindly told us how to position ourselves in a more flattering manner. We also got that feedback about him from all our family and friends. Giovanni was absolutely incredible!! He was so professional, positive, expressive, creative, and communicative for our combined maternity photoshoot and baby shower. He was so thorough and thoughtful when working with my husband and I- he made certain that he understood what my vision was for the day. His phone communication leading up to the event was kind and detailed. He allowed us to pay him in installments. He was flexible and patient with us on the day of the event- we were feeling a little stressed and nervous, and he immediately made us feel calm. My husband and I hired Giovanni The Photographer for our Valentines Day wedding at Saphire Estate in Sharon, MA. Giovanni was our photographer and he had such a fun, easy-going personality. Giovanni did our wedding videography and we are incredibly happy with the results. We requested one longer video (under an hour), and a short preview video style video. Our wedding was in September 2021 so it was a really busy wedding season and Giovanni was able to turn around the 45 minute video about 6 weeks. He was also incredibly responsive both via email. phone or text. In preparation for the wedding he was also great at checking in with us, and kept us organized with a planning sheet, and asking all the right questions that we didn't even know we needed to think about. The wedding day went smoothly, Giovanni was amazing at being behind the scenes and captured great shots, he was never blocking views or guests, many people didn't even realize he was there, which was so nice to see. Giovanni was wonderful and so fun to work with. Right away I had a great feeling about him after our initial call. He genuinely enjoys what he does and loves getting creative with the shoots. Giovanni has been very great to us this far. We got him for engagement and wedding photos. We haven't gotten the photos back as we just did them but from what I saw from his camera the day of and the effort he puts in to explaining everything and making sure we are ok with everything I know they are going to be great. He scoped out the area we chose so he could find the best spots and always made sure to take pictures until he got what he wanted. He just went above and beyond. I look forward to working with him for my wedding and if we have kids I'll likely be calling him for that too! I found Giovanni on yelp and was impressed by his multiple 5-star reviews. After our shoot with him, I can now understand why he's gotten so many 5-star reviews! We wanted a last minute engagement shoot while in Boston, and Giovanni came through. He was affordable and so professional. We were so bad in front of the camera, and Giovanni had to really give us a ton of direction and he did so with so much tact and thoughtfulness, always asking if we were comfortable with this or that. Honestly, because we had no idea what to do, we needed every bit of it.
