Then, the new waitress started complaining and berating me because I I placed the menu she gave me on a wet table after a rainfall . OK, do blame me? Clean the table. It's your job . Where was I supposed to put the menu? Served my drink by a guy. Third person I saw. Where was my waitress? No tip. No food order. Never come again... Very Disappointed. I was ready to spend a lot of money having a good time but the mood was spoiled. Recommend the management supervise their personnel to make sure they are serving customers instead of drinking.

The coconut flavor wasn't overpowering, and the lamb was tender. I can't remember the pricing, but I would say about average. Not cheap, but not very expensive either. Service was extremely courteous (our waitress spoke English relatively well), though the food did take some time to come out. But luckily the weather was nice and there were plenty of other patrons and we got to people/dog watch.

It took over an hour. In that time, no one came to update us on the status of the order, apologize for the delay, or ask if we wanted something else to drink. In that hour, the kitchen could not manage to coordinate the time that all of the food came out. In our party of eight, two orders were wrong. One of those orders was blackened salmon. It was cooked at the ends, but was raw in the middle. Even though the person had already eaten from the piece of fish, the exact same piece of fish was thrown on the grill, cooked some more, then came back on the same plate extremely unhygienic. *We asked to talk to the manager twice, so that the restaurant would have the chance to make things right. The first time, the waiter came back, stating that the manager would not talk to us because she was busy. The second time we asked, the waiter refused to even look for the manager. We had to ask multiple times for the manager's name and restaurant address, to write a letter of complaint. We also had to ask the waiter multiple times for his name. What kind of a manager refuses to talk to customers?! I have never had such terrible customer service at a restaurant, ever. There are better meals to be had in Jena, anyway. The whole interaction was super weird, yes I know I was speaking English and no doubt a lot was lost in translation. I was no doubt a little grumpy this morning, and yeah it did seem strange to me that they said they would never take any names, but it's Sunday, I know in Germany reservations are much more of a prescient thing than in a lot of other places, so we left. Cut to 20 minutes later, a friend we were with texted to find out where we were for breakfast, he was on his way to meet us. I told him not to bother with Jimmy's because apparently they wouldn't take any walk ins under any circumstances today.. He texted back to say not only had he gotten a table by just walking in, but he'd gotten a table for 2 I mean fair enough, if you have a policy I'm totally fine with that, yes I was probably arsier about the whole interaction than I should have been. But I sensed from the second I started interacting with the first person that we weren't gonna get a table regardless of whether there was one available or not, and that's what caused my annoyance to escalate. So to find out after I was right, that u could in fact just walk in, or wait, it was simply that they didn't want to help us out, that to me wasn't great. But hey, to each his own, food the day before was still really nice. Hopefully one day they'll crack the whole waiting list/walk in on a Sunday policy.

However, we were neither informed nor compensated. For that reason Le Goullon gets a low rating from me. When the main course was finally served it was not worth the wait.
