I hate reviewing a place when I have not even used their services. However, that's the point here. I have tried so hard to make an appointment here. I bought a groupon in April and was very disappointed to discover there were no appointments for a month on the online scheduling system. I emailed Cassandra (asking if she could fit me in as I was looking to get waxed before a trip) but I received no response. My groupon expired and I still could not get an appointment without booking three weeks in advance (my work does not allow me that kind of flexibility). I am now just trying to use up the remaining value on my expired groupon. I checked her scheduled today June 1-- and there is nothing available for the entire month. I am happy that Cassandra is so successful and I'm sure she is great. However, it does potential customers a disservice to offers groupons and yelp deals when you have zero availability. read more

I had a great experience with Cassandra! Her small space is located in G Best color salon. So I walk in, ask for Cassandra and a lady led me to the stairs through the salon in the back. Kind of awkward. But Cassandra was nice, asked if I purchased a yelp deal. I did (which is awesome --$25 for $45) I got my eyebrows waxed and a Brazilian wax. Silly me, I booked both services on 2 different days and fortunately she was able to accommodate me on the same day so i didn't have to come back. The process was easy and fast. She uses hard wax that is great for sensitive skin. So far I haven't seen any irritation like i did last time at a different salon. I'd recommend her services! I never thought I'd meet such a body positive, friendly aesthetician! I went in for a Brazilian today and Cassandra was wonderful. She was very professional. She took a few minutes at the beginning to clarify what exactly I wanted and also spent a few minutes reviewing waxing aftercare with me. Cassandra's room was very hygienic--she prepped the spa bed in front of me, didn't double dip the wax, and wore rubber gloves. She was also very friendly--the conversation flowed naturally, it was more like chilling with a friend than getting my privates waxed. I started going to Cassandra almost a year ago on a Groupon deal. She is one of the warmest, funniest people I've ever met. You may not think that's important in a waxer, but try getting a Brazilian from a cold fish Debbie downer and you'll change your tune pretty quickly. It's vital to have the right personality in her business to make sure people are at ease - and she has got it down to a "T". Cassandra is also super professional. I never feel like she is rushing me through to fit in more clients. While she is quick at what she does, she is thorough! Her prices can't be beat and even though she is a one woman show, she has a great on-line booking system which makes things so much easier. Holy bananas I'm beyond thrilled I found this woman! Cassandra warmly greeted me at the door (the building wasn't well labeled...look for the yellowish-greenish house just east of the small parking lot and directly across the street from Burger King) and instantly made me feel at ease. First of all it bums me out to see her get a one star from some yelper who does not schedule in advance. There is only one Cassandra and tons clients. Out of courtesy, schedule a couple weeks in advance. I have my appointments booked out months ahead. We know that every 6-8 weeks we are going to need it, so why not plan it? Cassandra is absolutely wonderful. I bought a groupon deal for 3 brazilian waxes. I was a bit wary trying out such a --ahem-- delicate-- service from a complete stranger on groupon. However, I am glad I decided to go for it. The deal was certainly worth it. Even her regular prices are a good value. Her place may be a little hard to find because the building is shared with a hair salon. Her space is located upstairs, but there is a lobby in the hair salon where you can wait. On my first visit I made the mistake of going upstairs first to wait. I advise that you stay downstairs in the lobby and wait as Cassandra will meet you in the lobby of the hair salon by the door. Cassandra is really quick which is so important with the usually unpleasant task of waxing. In addition, she's very personable and makes the experience fly by even quicker. Most importantly, she's very thorough and knows what she's doing. I've been to a few different waxers before, but none of them have made my experience as good as the service I receive at Flare and Bare. I had to reschedule my latest appointment 2 times, which I felt really bad about. But, she was so flexible and accomodating, which I so appreciate. She changed my appointment for me both times. For the second reschedule, she even let schedule a special "by appointment only" service for Saturday because I couldn't schedule during the week.
