As soon as we hired him, Mr. Tabatchouk hit the ground running and helped us close within two months. Throughout the entire process, Mr. Tabatchouk was readily available and made this experience much less intimidating and more seamless. He fiercely negotiated on our behalf and advocated for our best interest from the inspection process until closing day. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and a pleasure to work with. His paralegal, Nancy, is extremely warm and friendly and very efficient. I highly recommend this law firm for any real estate transaction as they are truly excellent at their job!

Communication was very difficult; Nancy regularly didn't respond to my emails, which I only sent regarding very important matters, even when I emphasized that I really needed a response. Even our agent had ongoing issues with contacting them, which caused everything to drag on. I had to practically beg them to set a closing date by calling and sending emails and texts because there was no communication from them. Throughout the entire home buying process, I never felt like they were my lawyer or that they were on my side--there was zero support or explanation of the purchasing process. They don't care about their customers! I'm glad it's over because working with them was terrible. If you don't want to stress out--stay away from this company.

We have the worst deal in the world - where the landlords have all rights. We are charged for crazy/unusual and exorbitant charges. We don't have a good guy guarantee, which is also customary in commercial leases, but they did not set up. I am now locked in a lease that costs $4000 more a month than it should because these lawyers did nothing to advocate and explain anything to us. DO NOT USE.

Buying a co-op in New York takes a long time (between 3-6 months) and requires far too many people and a lot of coordination. Michael's involvement in our transaction unequivocally made for a smoother process. Michael's prices were higher than other real estate attorneys that I compared him with; however, his responsiveness and willingness to wrangle those with poor communication made it worth the extra cash. Above all, his response times were impeccable: I was regularly able to reach him with a single phone call and he nearly always responded to missed calls and emails within the hour. It was easy to schedule with him and we dealt with Michael directly 90% of the time, though his assistant Lillian is also great to work with. Out of the cast of 8 involved in our transaction, Michael was without question our most valuable player -- as well as the most humorous. My boyfriend and I highly recommend Michael Simon and would happily work with him in the future.
