Dr. Kennedy refused to provide reasonable accommodation(s) for my disabilities as required per ADA and blatantly discriminated against me based upon my numerous disabilities etc., also major violations of state and federal laws. Peak refused to provide pre-operative pain management and control and again refused to provide a specific plan for treatment of post-operative pain management & control. Dr. broke additional laws by wrongfully instructing me to take more of my chronic pain medications, prescribed separately by my PCP for my severe spinal cord injuries, etc., for off label acute dental pain due to severe dental infections because he didn't want to prescribe narcotics for this ongoing severely acute dental infection pain. Due to Peak Dental's willful gross negligence, medical abuse & neglect, medical malpractice, & medical abandonment, I have now developed life threatening blood infection affecting my heart. There is absolutely no compassion with anyone at Peak Dental. They referred me to OHSU knowing that OHSU is not accepting any new patients even emergency patients. Instead of doing the right thing and performing the required oral surgery, Peak Dental (Dr. Kennedy) decided to dismiss me as a patient to just let me die from the life-threatening dental infection or commit suicide when my military service-related PTSD, depression, and extremely severe acute pain become just too much to endure. Wife plans to sue them all when I die. They lie and say they care for us veterans but in reality, they don't give a crap if we live or die as long as they make a profit and do as little as possible. AVOID this practice at all costs. I will be filing formal complaints and civil suits in the near future assuming I live long enough.

I had never had anxiety for a dentist visit before the last place, where they had tried to bully me into procedures that were not necessary so they could make more money. Luckily, there are places like this one, where doctors still care. Dr Schapper, Amanda, and all of the staff were so very kind and helpful throughout the process. The cleaning and the x-rays were even one of the most gentle and comfortable procedures I've had done (you know how those x rays things that go in your mouth can pinch and be super uncomfortable - not so here!) I actually ended up coming here after searching for an office that would work with my new job's insurance. Everyone I had called over the past months merely said, "we do not work with your insurance." When I called into this office, the woman said, "would you like me to call them and see for you? I know it can be tricky." She called, called right back, was able to tell me exactly what would be covered, and I made my appointment. By looking at X-rays and comparing new vs old dental work you get the impression that Dr. Wood is very liberal when deciding to fill cavities. Anxious to grind up your real teeth and replace it with filling, but not able to shape the teeth back to their original shape. My bite has been off since. Apparently, he left too much space in between my teeth. He also left a snag that shreds up floss every time I floss. I had to go back for two attempts to fix it with no luck. It's going to cost me hundreds to get his work fixed.

I have seen first hand how he treats his staff and patients! He has a great bedside manner. He is an excellent dentist and well respected in our community. His staff is wonderful. They accidentally billed me for the second visit (the one where I had to go back in to fix the filling) so I had to call them to remove the charges from my account... My filling never healed because my tooth, even after 2 months, is incredibly sensitive and I can't eat on it. I was referred here because Gentle Dental, which I really like, only has dental hygienists now. I unfortunately will be switching to a different dental office that offers holistic dental care :(

The hygienist I liked is no longer there. The feeling I had was that the three dentists I met don't care about the patients. They all took my questions as an insult and got defensive and talked down to me. Like I've never had my teeth cleaned before! The place looks nice, and the receptionists are great but once you're in the chair, the whole experience is not great. I had one hygienist lightly bring up politics (assuming I would agree) while she was cleaning and wanted to scream. Its frustrating that they give out cookies and starbucks gift cards as though they are oblivious that sugar causes cavities. Seems like the Dentists are here for a racket.
