This office is a nightmare! I'm a 17-year highly decorated veteran with multiple disabilities,…read morediseases, and medical/mental conditions. Dr. Kennedy refused to provide reasonable accommodation(s) for my disabilities as required per ADA and blatantly discriminated against me based upon my numerous disabilities etc., also major violations of state and federal laws. Peak refused to provide pre-operative pain management and control and again refused to provide a specific plan for treatment of post-operative pain management & control. Dr. broke additional laws by wrongfully instructing me to take more of my chronic pain medications, prescribed separately by my PCP for my severe spinal cord injuries, etc., for off label acute dental pain due to severe dental infections because he didn't want to prescribe narcotics for this ongoing severely acute dental infection pain. Due to Peak Dental's willful gross negligence, medical abuse & neglect, medical malpractice, & medical abandonment, I have now developed life threatening blood infection affecting my heart. There is absolutely no compassion with anyone at Peak Dental. They referred me to OHSU knowing that OHSU is not accepting any new patients even emergency patients. Instead of doing the right thing and performing the required oral surgery, Peak Dental (Dr. Kennedy) decided to dismiss me as a patient to just let me die from the life-threatening dental infection or commit suicide when my military service-related PTSD, depression, and extremely severe acute pain become just too much to endure. Wife plans to sue them all when I die. They lie and say they care for us veterans but in reality, they don't give a crap if we live or die as long as they make a profit and do as little as possible. AVOID this practice at all costs. I will be filing formal complaints and civil suits in the near future assuming I live long enough.

I am so glad I found this office! I had a bad experience at my last dental office (in another…read morestate) and was super weary of dentist offices because of it. I had never had anxiety for a dentist visit before the last place, where they had tried to bully me into procedures that were not necessary so they could make more money. Luckily, there are places like this one, where doctors still care. Dr Schapper, Amanda, and all of the staff were so very kind and helpful throughout the process. The cleaning and the x-rays were even one of the most gentle and comfortable procedures I've had done (you know how those x rays things that go in your mouth can pinch and be super uncomfortable - not so here!) I actually ended up coming here after searching for an office that would work with my new job's insurance. Everyone I had called over the past months merely said, "we do not work with your insurance." When I called into this office, the woman said, "would you like me to call them and see for you? I know it can be tricky." She called, called right back, was able to tell me exactly what would be covered, and I made my appointment. Everything else continued along with this same kindness and help.

I would say Dr. Kendall Wood is one of the best and kindest DDS in town. He has been doing this for 15 years. My wife and I are so grateful for that.

Dr. Swensen asks good questions and provides clear and concise explanations when it comes to discussing future options. This has helped me understand the risks and benefits much better than I've experienced elsewhere. When it comes to an actual procedure, I am kept informed as to what's going on and what to expect next. There are no surprises...and when it comes to dental work, that's a good thing! So far, I've gone through an extraction and am in the process of getting an implant completed. No complaints at all! I've found that the assistants to be engaging, personable and competent (Alicia and Vanessa). In addition, Lisa has taken over my teeth cleaning and has done an excellent work! Sandy has done an outstanding job of keeping me informed of costs that will have to be paid out of pocket. This has helped me to better plan and utilize my Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Gone are the days of using a crystal ball or gazing at chicken's intestines to understand projected dental costs... And the folks who've helped at the front desk or on the phone (Sarah, Kong (sp?), Casey (sp?) have been efficient, personable and very competent. From a planning standpoint, I get email reminders of appointments and have found Dr. Swensen's availability to be much improved over my last provider. I'm just sorry that it took me 20 years to finally give these folks a try!

Dr Haslam talked to me as if I were a child and when I explained that I had some bad memories he said "I'm not forcing you to be here". Some training in how to relate appropriately to older patients is in order!
