Can I just say there are no words in the dictionary to describe this place. I have never seen such fantastic customer service ever hands down. I was in Bodrum, Turkey last week to celebrate my friend's 40th birthday and it was so amazing!!! They have a doctor on site, they have a water park, FREE foodddddd (comes with the package), dessertttttt for days and let's not forget the restaurant 24 where food is served all day and all night! I remember my friends and I would go hangout and end up at 24 at odd hours of the morning with a nice meal ready for us. Oh did I mention the Club On site? the beachhhhhhh and let's not forget the Spaaaaaa. I had the Hamman done (Traditional Turkish Bath) and a facial! My experience was sooo amazing that I recommend this place over and over again. Dear Manager, if you are reading this you need to give Sabri a huge raise or promote him. Your resort is what it is because of Sabri!! Thank you for such an amazing service! We had a fabulous time and I would recommend Voyage to families with little kids. Trust me your kids will thank you for ever!!! Enjoy the pictures :)

This is a continuation, rather than an update - I just can't possibly fit everything in the first…read morereview! There's two main chill-out areas if you're looking to do some sunbathing or swimming - by the pool, or by the beach. My preference is the beach as the loungers are better for reading, but the pool recliners are padded ones more like a single bed which is also quite comfortable. There's a bar by the pool and at the beach, there's a guy who walks around to take your order and get it from the pool bar. He can also sort you out if you can't spot a free lounger, so you don't really need to worry about nabbing one early. There's a huge range of cocktails available from the bars, as well as premium/branded spirits, beers and wine. I counted and there was something like 40+ cocktails available, and those I sampled were all really delicious - I'd recommend the Light of Voyage (vodka, midori, malibu, orange and pineapple), Strawberry Daiquiri and the Passion Fruit Cairinha. All delicious - although sometimes they'll vary depending on which member of staff is making them (not too much though!). I tried a couple of mixed drinks, like rum and coke but found the staff's tendency to free-pour the spirit meant it was way too strong for me to drink - a good problem to have! The staff at this hotel are really exceptional, and work crazy long hours. You will probably see the same people at breakfast and then at the bar at night time, I really don't know how they do it. All of them spoke good English and we never had a problem being understood. The hotel is about 40 minutes from Bodrum airport and depending on how you arrange your trip (we booked through Thomas Cook) you might have transfers included which makes it even easier. I'd definitely go back here for another relaxing holiday as there really isn't anything I can fault about the stay. Including flights, transfers and the room upgrade, all-inclusive food and drink, the cost was around £1800 for two adults.

Caresse opened just last year and recently joined the Luxury Collection and Starwood. The hotel is…read moreattached to a condo village at the edge of Gumbet just outside of Bodrum proper. It is the last development on the bayside of the penninsula, providing both isolation and proximity. This isn't the place to stay to be in the nightlife scene or daily action. It is relaxing and serene. I'd originally just planned to use it as a place to sleep and have breakfast, but there were so many different and unique places to sit, rest, reflect, and recline all over the place, with great views, access to water, and elegant, modern design, that I ended up spending a lot more time on property. The hotel and condo development share a common entrance with security. Once waved in, you head down the hill (either in your car or taxi or in one of the resort's golf carts) to the hotel. Because of this layout and the hotel's location, you won't see anyone who isn't a guest or hotel staff during your stay, as no one can or does just wander by. The arrangement does make it a little less likely that you'll just spontaneously head off the property, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. My room had a wide, clear view of both the sea and the infinity pool. Stunning. I enjoyed the modest beach and the pool immensely, as well as the ample chairs and interesting seats of every kinds sprinkled all over the place, including the wooden decks jetting over the sea. Food and beverage on the beach isn't ready yet, but a staffer often patrols the area for orders and then retrieves them from the pool lounge, up a couple of floors. I often have a bit of trouble sleeping due to just small amounts of light getting in at night, and even due to little red lights on smoke detectors and clock displays. Caresse has this down to a science, and I slept perfectly because the room achieves complete darkness. Breakfast in the Glass restaurant on the outside deck overlooking the pool and the sea was an ample mix of Turkish and European/American fare. Internet service was solid and reliable. Caresse proved to be a perfect surprise after I'd booked it just to see the new SPG/Luxury hotel at a great rate. The staff doesn't seem large, but their friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Looking forward to a return.

The resort has ample seating both at the beach and the pool. They also have a wood dock jetting over the sea. Food wise, they have a handful of options and also an onsite dessert/ice cream shop! This resort has a large resort feel in comparison to the Edition but both are gorgeous places to stay!

The Maçakizi Bodrum is absolutely perfect! My boyfriend and I are so impressed with every aspect of…read morethe Maçakizi from the aesthetics (architecture, layout, interiors, decor, etc) to the staff, food and overall relaxed environment. For starters, the creative detail in the aesthetics of the Maçakizi are en pointe (comparable to that of an Aman)--the minimalistic architecture, interior design and decor of the entire property including the rooms, beachfront, restaurant, gym, spa, etc. It is all so well done--built beautifully into the cliffside on the water of the Agean with unparalleled views of the Bodrum shoreline, surrounded by plant life. They have two dogs and a few kitties that live on site and come around from time to time. I'm a huge animal lover so this was a major bonus for me--but for those who don't care for the furry friends, they are not a bother in the least. The Maçakizi is family owned and operated, so it doesn't feel like a typical touristy type hotel/resort. It's very chill and uncomplicated--perfect for those looking for a relaxing environment (again, think Aman). My boyfriend and I are both fitness/health junkies, so the gym and the personal trainers were also a major bonus for us. I did both personal training with Isa and private Pilates with Lucy--both are GREAT and only available during the summer months. I will also note that the chef was very accommodating to both my boyfriend and I with all of our special health food requests. They have amazing kale salads, quinoa salads, homemade [yes, homemade] almond milk, oats, fresh fruit, granola, turkish yogurt, etc. I can go on and on about how much we love the Maçakizi--but I'll end it here in highly recommending a stay here (:
