For starters, the creative detail in the aesthetics of the Maçakizi are en pointe (comparable to that of an Aman)--the minimalistic architecture, interior design and decor of the entire property including the rooms, beachfront, restaurant, gym, spa, etc. It is all so well done--built beautifully into the cliffside on the water of the Agean with unparalleled views of the Bodrum shoreline, surrounded by plant life. They have two dogs and a few kitties that live on site and come around from time to time. I'm a huge animal lover so this was a major bonus for me--but for those who don't care for the furry friends, they are not a bother in the least. The Maçakizi is family owned and operated, so it doesn't feel like a typical touristy type hotel/resort. It's very chill and uncomplicated--perfect for those looking for a relaxing environment (again, think Aman). My boyfriend and I are both fitness/health junkies, so the gym and the personal trainers were also a major bonus for us. I did both personal training with Isa and private Pilates with Lucy--both are GREAT and only available during the summer months. I will also note that the chef was very accommodating to both my boyfriend and I with all of our special health food requests. They have amazing kale salads, quinoa salads, homemade [yes, homemade] almond milk, oats, fresh fruit, granola, turkish yogurt, etc. I can go on and on about how much we love the Maçakizi--but I'll end it here in highly recommending a stay here (:

Prior to booking we always make sure we filter during our hotel search for "dog friendly" or "Pets allowed" hotels. As I was searching through Priceline and adding the filters I found this hotel which seemed great and most of all accommodated our dog as well. My family and I are from the US and flew to bodrum for a family vacation. Firstly, upon arrival it was nothing as it looked on the pictures. Secondly, the second we walked in the front desk receptionist said to my husband and I "is this your animal ?" We responded "yes" and they said, "NO! This is forbidden.. animal is forbidden here." We we're very shocked and said that we booked with them via Priceline where it said "pets allowed" they asked me to show them where I saw that which I did and they followed with "oh we don't even work with Priceline or know that site" my family and I were in shock and also very confused. The 2 front ladies at the front desk were especially so rude. My husband had called prior to make sure everything was good to go to which they remembered but they did not care at all. We had just traveled all that way to have nowhere to stay. They did not accommodate us what so ever, they were very rude to us, didn't help us find another hotel that actually allowed dogs, and they were ultimately so unprofessional. Priceline is a very big site for them to "not know what it was" or that they booked through there. This hotel is a complete false advertisement and disappointment. Never ever stay here. Definitely look into another hotel. In the end we found a great place to stay at the Ramada resort. Highly recommended.

We had our dinner in hotel restaurant seated at a table near the pool with a great view of the sunset. The buffet breakfast consisted of a nice selection of delectable foods. However, the hotel needs to improve on some maintenance issues in its rooms and ensuring that Wi-Fi is available in all parts of the hotel for that extra star.

Its next door to Rixos which is the best hotel in the bodrum area but also the most expensive (Beyonce has stayed at the Rixos). However the Blue Dreams is a comparatively bargain alternative, there are some different restaurants in the complex with main one being a buffet serving 3 times per day. Lovely turkish food, theres also a snack bar open all day on the beach, the hotel has its own private beach where you can also hire jet skis and also be pulled by boat on rings,(can be painful on your backside). The views over Torba bay from here are second to none and you will love that the most. There's also evening family entertainment free every night. The only issue with this hotel is that it is built into steep terraces so it will not be suitable for full wheelchair access or those who are not very mobile. Other than that I would recomend it to anyone.

Highly recommend getting a rental car because Bodrum is rather spread out. We were generously upgraded to a room with a sea view. The property is perched on a steep cliff which gives it a nice view of the water. The design is word class and I do love the le labo scents in the common areas. This is one of the nicer edition properties that I have stayed at globally. The breakfast was tasty, granted nearly all the breakfasts at high end hotels in Turkey were of this caliber. The landscaping and minimalism but practicality in the design are also what stood out to me.
