We were able to get drinks, however we were told when we attempted to order food that the grill was closed. This was at 5 in the afternoon on a Saturday. The reason that we were not able to order food was the owner had shut down the grill for anyone coming in to make food for his child's party. I would think that someone would have informed us that food was not going to be able to be purchase when we contacted the establishment to reserve the half of the business that we did. Or, we could have been told upon arriving. Long story short, we had a 4 hour party that we could not eat at, as the policy of this establishment is to not allow outside food. My suggestion to anyone coming to this establishment is to call ahead prior to arriving and ask if the food area will be open for the duration of your anticipated stay. We made the mistake to not specifically ask this.

Clean, well maintained, and you don't have to chase down a manager because a lane went down or a table never got cleared. Transparently, I'm not a serious bowler. We go to have a nice time in a family place and that's how I'd describe it for us. The lanes are in good shape for the people who take it seriously, and the rest of us can show up, throw gutter balls for two hours, and still have a good night. Plenty of lanes, easy to book for a group, and the owners clearly care about the building. If you're planning a personal or even group outing in Cedar Rapids, this is an easy call.
