The reason that we were not able to order food was the owner had shut down the grill for anyone coming in to make food for his child's party. I would think that someone would have informed us that food was not going to be able to be purchase when we contacted the establishment to reserve the half of the business that we did. Or, we could have been told upon arriving. Long story short, we had a 4 hour party that we could not eat at, as the policy of this establishment is to not allow outside food. My suggestion to anyone coming to this establishment is to call ahead prior to arriving and ask if the food area will be open for the duration of your anticipated stay. After calling to confirm they were open, we decided to return to May City Bowl. It is a big facility with plenty of lanes. There are a few modifications due to COVID and to allow for social distancing. They will put your group on a lane away from other groups. Unless you bring your own ball, you are required to use one of maybe 10 balls that are stationed at that lane. It limits finding a ball that fits your fingers well and the weight of ball you want to use, but is understandable under these conditions. It cost $22 for three games for 2 people including shoe rental. Not a bad entertainment value. We didn't have anything to eat or drink but I know they offer a decent selection from past visits. If your looking for some solid fun in a clean environment that doesn't look down on you if your not a professional, I would recommend May City Bowl.
