We were very disappointed in our RV trip to Honey Creek State Park. (Not to be confused with Honey…read moreCreek Resort.) We planned to stay for 2 nights in our RV over Labor Day weekend thinking we would walk trails along the lake and doing some biking. We made reservations for South Campground Loop #101 on reserveamerica.com. There is very little information about the state park online including any trail maps or maps of the state park. When we arrived at the park entrance, there is a tired looking office and a simple sign pointing to campground, cabins, and shelters. We stopped to get a map of trails and the park but only found old flyers. So we followed the signs to the campground. The pay station was in disrepair - again, no maps, no information about where to find the host/hostess, no signs to say where the north and south loops were, no signs to say where the potable water hydrants were, or even where the dumping station was. We asked other campers who pointed us in the right direction. If you like a little privacy and a clean, fairly level site, then don't motorhome here. RV were packed in like sardines in a can on a busy holiday weekend. The non-electric tent sites were more spacious and had a view of the lake at the far north end. Our picnic table was unusable with peeling paint and warped wood. The men's shower had no hot water, and the women's has a toilet that was overflowing. No firewood for purchase either. After walking the south and north campgrounds on Sunday morning, we located 2 host/hostess sites but weren't able to find anyone to help with maps about trails. We were able to ride our bikes on the cement roads with narrow bike lanes but not along any trails. This park is really set up for boating all day and partying late into the night. We did find the dump station. It was located across from the north host/hostess site next to the basketball hoop.

What a wonderful surprise! We visited for the grand reopening of The Preserve Golf Course this…read moreweekend, and it exceeded our expectations. The course is absolutely beautiful. You can tell a lot of thought went into preserving the natural landscape while creating a fun and interesting layout. The hole placement keeps the round engaging, and the scenery alone makes you want to slow down and enjoy the experience. We spotted deer throughout the course, and the peaceful surroundings made it feel like we were golfing in the middle of nature. The staff was incredibly welcoming and genuinely excited to share their vision for the future of the course. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and hearing about the upcoming improvements makes us even more excited to come back! Highly recommend!

I played this course recently and I was not impressed. The bunkers were all weeds as tall as my…read moreknees. The greens were okay. There were a lot of dry spots and dark green fungus spots on the greens. The golf carts would lock up in the middle of the fairway and wouldn't let us drive, when we were 150 yards out. The staff in the clubhouse was relatively nice. For the price, this place was not worth it. I would price this place at $40.
