Succinctly, I waited nearly ONE YEAR to receive the…read morefinished product of a prosthetic leg; it took that long to have it made, even with many 3 hour round-trip rides made on my part, to their Bangor office, for many fittings etc. Nonetheless, the final product is useless to me: I cannot put on the liner at all, which is a rubber covering that goes over my real leg. When I did get the prosthesis on, only With the help of the prosthetist, Wade, it was a terrible fit. My real leg shifts and rotates within the socket (or, thigh-piece), badly ! The socket is too high, causing my hip to be higher than the other hip. And the socket pinches severely, in the inner, back leg. There are other negative issues too. The crux of my complaint is that Central Maine Orthotics and Prosthetics Refused to honor my request for a return. My request was well within the 90-day return policy, that is not only customery, but also ethical. Yet, they won't receive a return. The customer service is very much lacking too. Specifically, the office Staff apparently said I was not "deserving of the leg" to be brought to my home to me, after my legit complaints about the length of time it was taking to receive it. Covid or not, it should not have taken nearly a year. And to what end... An unusable leg. I do not recommend this business AT ALL. In fact, stay clear of them. There is another Prosthetic Place in Bangor/Waterville.
