Flamenco. It's not from this region of Spain but you'll find it all around the country for lovers of the dance, guitar, and singing. Here is a small room that I bet can cram 15 people tops with a stage to hold a dancer, a vocalist, and a guitarist and that's about it. It's nice because if you're seated close to the front you'll feel the power of the performance. I assumed I was gonna be in more of an auditorium which would not have the same effect. Tickets here had three tiers: a ticket, a ticket and a drink, a ticket a drink and tapas. It seems everyone (regardless of ticket) was given a glass of cava. The drink was your choice and a fishbowl sized gin and tonic was delivered upon the order. The full on Tapas (ordered by the family of four next to us) looked like a lot of food...like too much. The show we had only lasted an hour (I really wanted an encore of 10 more minutes) but all in all it was fantastic. Afterwards there's a tour of the guitar museum upstairs. This was super cool for me (a guitarist) but I mostly saw others kinda just tailing along through the tour while I asked hyper specific guitar questions. No complaints there for me. Seeing how this was my first flamenco show ever, it was awesome. I don't have a comparison but with the guitar museum attached, it was perfect in size and performance. read more
