And despite receiving several emails saying it was ready for pick up, they told me it wasn't there. Until I had left the branch and get a call saying it was in fact there unfortunately, this is close to my house so I've had to use it on three occasions, and have yet to have one positive experience.

The tellers are friendly and always accommodating. I can call with a question on my account and I speak to someone in Michigan. Very professional and courteous service. I know this branch goes the extra mile and so does the Ferndale location; the branch at Maple and Telegraph is very slow and not as friendly.

Last week I had to cash a few small checks and their was an issue with a $27 check. The manager, Wes Jenkins, came out from the back and treated me so poorly I was shocked. He was rude, condescending and could not have been less professional. I spoke with a district manager about the incident and nothing more came of it. I closed my account the next day.

Went to Chase Bank in downtown Birmingham, Michigan to make a Wire Transfer this morning. I stood…read morein line while ONE Teller waited on customers. The other Teller said she was "new and in training" and could not process transactions. The Bank Manager came out to ask what those of us in line were there for. I told him I need to make a wire transfer and the man behind me said he was there to make a deposit. The man behind me was told to step ahead on me while I was taken out of line waiting for the only teller that knew what she was doing to process my wire transaction. I still am confused as to why the Bank Manager didn't process my wire himself. He did not appear to be busy and kept walking around observing but not assisting. Soon after the Teller called me up, the line of customers in the Lobby started getting longer and the new Teller who could not process transactions, walked out from behind her station after so many customers asked if she could help them. She kept saying that she was new and unable to process anything for them. My Teller was getting nervous, but clearly doing the best she could as quickly as she could. She is a very professional young lady (Afrin) that is also new to Chase but is nice and kind to everyone. As she finalized the paperwork, the Bank's Manager came back, handed me the Wire form and said, "Look this over. If there is a mistake, its on YOU, not US." After I signed the form, I said to the Chase Bank Manager, "You need more people." He snapped and said, "No I don't.....I have enough people. All my Personal Bankers are in the back with Clients right now." I told him my experience with that Chase bank branch is one of extended wait times. He dismissed me and when I asked him to consider a waiver of my Wire fee due to the wait, he said, "No....Those are the kind of things that can get someone fired." Not a nice attitude to have with a customer who is also a large shareholder. If you are looking for a competently managed bank in the Birmingham area, do NOT look at Chase Bank in downtown Birmingham on Old Woodward Ave. The Manager is Rude, Unprofessional and needs to be sent to Customer Service Training 101. He apparently missed this training class when he was hired!

I just opened two accounts with Huntington on-line so I am really new with them, the Birmingham…read morebranch is a second from my house and since they are open Saturdays I thought this would be great and it really is. This branch in particular is really classy if you can imagine a bank being upscale and classy... they are extremely friendly and even gave my 3 year son son Huntington goodies while we waited for a banker. Overall my experience was great and I go to the branch more than the one near my job, parking is also never a problem. The banker at the front name Allison is a joy to bank with!

My parents, my sister, and I all opened Comerica Bank accounts in 1978. My mother and father both…read morekept their accounts until their deaths in 2016 and 2020, respectively. I kept my accounts until moving 10 hours away in 2023. I recently had them transfer my IRA to a bank where I now live. After they transferred it, my new bank informs me that Comerica kept $50.00 of my money for a transfer fee. Outraged, I called the manager of the Bloomfield Hills, MI branch (on Woodward Ave.). He claims that it was in the fine print when I opened the account but I do not believe that. He then said to me would you have still transferred the account if I had called you and told you about the fee? I said I don't know but I'd have thought about it as I'm in metro Detroit about twice a year. Then he said that I could have taken the money out in person and avoided the transfer fee. Well, I had gone to a different Comerica branch, at 14 Mile and Woodward Ave., before moving and asked a manager there how to transfer it. She looked a lot of stuff up on the computer and ultimately told me, with my lawyer husband as witness, that she didn't know how to do it and to ask at a bank in the town I moving to. So, if she had given me the correct information the bank would not have, in my opinion, stolen $50.00 of my money. And, I was just in metro Detroit for other business so, once again it could have been done in person. The next thing Jeff said was well we did pay the FedEx fee for sending you the paperwork. No. I paid the FedEx fee and the difference between that fee and $50.00 is the amount of my money that Comerica Bank did not return to me. I believe that one definition of not returning is stealing. I wish I could give zero stars as one is, in my opinion, too high.
